Julian has over 20 years experience in design, construction management and test and commissioning of railway signalling systems
from Metro Lines to Very High Speed Rail. During this period Julian has worked for Bechtel and has been contracted to work on
projects for Network Rail, Tubelines and also Union Rail as it was known.
Julian was heavily involved in CTRL (HS1) from its conception with responsibility for the production of preliminary tender, signalling
plans and design in the projects initial stages in addition to monitoring and approving the contractor’s final designs to ensure
compliance with the clients specific requirements. Julian’s vast expertise places him in the perfect position to lead this HSR Signalling

Iain has led successful delivery and gained commendation of Network Rail GRIP2, 3 and 4 development of major infrastructure
investment projects, fitout of HS1 traincare facilities for South eastern Railways at Ashford and Ramsgate and developed delivery
strategies and Tender preparation for under and over ground rail infrastructure including High Speed Rail and London 2012 projects.
During his work on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link he led the project delivery and development strategy and initiated business growth
and security including the potential acquisition of the Eurotunnel electrical distribution assets in UK and France. Iain inaugurated,
developed and led the successful project management delivery strategy for EDF Energy for the design, procurement, delivery,
commissioning and operation of all multidisciplinary engineering elements and managed the respective value engineering exercise in
1999 that reduced a budget of £120m by £30m actual. The efforts of the team were rewarded in 2004 with the British
Construction Industry Award, Major Projects, for Power Engineering - Channel Tunnel Rail Link Section 1
