Mass media has evolved significantly since the early 1800s with the rise of newspapers to now include television, internet, film, radio and other technologies for mass communication. Over time, regular mass broadcasts of television began in Germany/UK in 1936 and US in 1948. The internet became widely available in 1983.
Mass media can positively impact children by providing education and news, but it can also have negative effects like shortening attention spans, increasing aggressive behavior, and contributing to health issues. Both the positive and negative influences of mass media on children's development need to be considered.
