Coulson Macleod was formed in March 2009 and is a UK-based art business specialising in the design and production of handmade, typography-based artwork printed onto natural and reclaimed materials including wood, metal, stone, fabric, and recycled paper. Each piece of Coulson Macleod artwork is individually handmade in the UK by traditional craftsmen. Any imperfections in the material used are retained to add character to the finished pieces. These can include knots, water marks, and nail holes in reclaimed timber, chips in stone, and rust on steel. This way no two pieces are ever exactly alike, and every artwork produced is unique.
