Senior E&I Engineer
BASF Chemicals
Responsibilities:
BASF acceptor for all contractors permits to work, and to ensure that all projects
with any E&I content are carried out safely in accordance with all BASF guidelines
and industry standard procedures.
Ensuring that all master flowsheets handed over from the chemical engineers are
carried forward through both software and E&I designs. This includes the testing,

Senior Engineer
United Utilities
CHP Optimisation Programme
Working within a MEICA team carrying out detailed surveys and inspection of the
CHP systems on 12 United Utilities waste water treatment plants.
The purpose of these surveys was to compile a report in response to a request from
United Utilities to undertake an assessment of the current operating condition of the
Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants at 12 Waste Water Treatment Plants. The
CHP plants have been assessed from process, CHP/energy, mechanical, electrical,
instrumentation, control and automation (EICA) perspectives. The findings of these
investigations comprised of a series of recommendations that, subject to detailed
design and implementation, would allow the CHP plants to function more efficiently.
Senior Engineer
Scottish Water Solutions
Ineffective assets project management
Assisting in management of 500+ bulk metering sites not adopted by Scottish
Water. Duties include liaising with client and sub-contractor, insuring that all
relevant signals were being transmitted by telemetry to OE and the preparation of
BU Packs for presentation to the client for sign off. Detailed knowledge of Scottish
Waters telemetry systems was required to ensure the correct presentation of data
for accuracy and site location.
Senior Engineer
Scottish Water (IDR)
Asset Scripting Implementation
Working as Workstream Manager
To meet the project objective of ensuring Asset Information is uploaded in the Asset
Management system by IDR team to meet the capital delivery programme dates.
■ We have developed a project team structure which is arranged in
work streams to manage individual contractors or programmes
■ We will manage the delivery script programme to ensure scripts
are delivered to time by close liaison with the contractors
representative
■ Operate as a conduit for information to IDR ensuring a consistent
process with minimum impact to IDR from SVCP
■ Operate as a Technical Reference for Asset Scripting ensuring
good quality information is passed to IDR optimising the upload
process
■ As the number of capital projects vary per month, the workload
will vary for the asset scripting team and we will process the
backlog of asset script when these periods
