Science Centre Station Construction Activities
SOE & Excavation
• Excavation, tie backs and bracing continue in the station box area and east
portal
• Support of existing utilities at pedestrian tunnel, station box and east portal
ongoing until November
• Bulk excavation continues under the decking, at the pedestrian tunnel and at
the west side of the bus terminal
Utilities
• Utility support work is on going
Structural
• Concrete and rebar work underway at main entrance
• Strut installation is ongoing at the Pedestrian Tunnel
• Form and concrete work underway at the bus terminal
• Form work for the electrical/mechanical and condenser pit walls is ongoing
• Rebar installation on the roof slab is in progress
• Formwork installation is complete for the north inner wall
• Footings rebar between the gridline is in progress and the mud slab was poured

Current Traffic Configuration at Science Centre Station
The current traffic configuration at Science Centre Station was implemented October
17,2018. This phase is expected to last (4) months.
The north-south crosswalk on the east side of the intersection will be reopen for the
duration of this set up.

Don Valley Parkway Ramp to Wynford Drive Bridge

• The sidewalk on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East between the Don Valley
South Off-Ramp and Wynford Drive will be closed for the duration of the work to
protect the safety of pedestrians.
• The pedestrian staircase on the south side of the Wynford Drive Bridge will also be
closed for the duration of the work.
• Pedestrians will be required to use the Don Mills Intersection, the Don Valley
Parkway East intersection or temporary crossing east of Wynford Drive to cross
Eglington Avenue East.
• The eastbound TTC bus stop located on southwest side of the Wynford Bridge will
be removed for the duration of the work.
