Station Construction
Construction will begin at Keele Station first.
Key learnings from Keele will be applied to
the construction of the other underground
stations.
Construction on the other underground
stations will begin in summer 2016.
Each underground station will take
approximately 3 -1/2 years to construct.
The majority of stations will be constructed
using a cut-and-cover approach.

What to expect during construction
13
Changes to Travel Patterns – At a minimum, one lane will remain
open in each direction to reduce congestion at all times. Additional
lane closures may be in place during non-peak travel times.
Detours – Detours may be required. Please watch for notices and
signs.
Dust – Construction projects cause dust. Watering trucks will help
reduce dust.
Noise - Heavy equipment will be used periodically, creating noise.
Notices - If you live or work nearby, you will receive notices about
construction work.
Please watch for printed notices and signs, and register with us
today to receive updates.
A Mobile App and advertisements will also be used to inform the
broader public of traffic/transit disruption.
14. [MMMMMM DD, YYYY] | [Meeting Title]
We will manage disruptions
