- The Risks that lie with all this hype. Key is not get stuck in this trough for too long…it will come for sure, but then how to move fast to the stage of enlightenment. In our view that will primarily be driven by how fast we move from a technology looking for problems to….the scenario of a technology delivering solutions.
- In our book they are all the same…it is just the user scenarios in the consumer world are quite different to the physical world of heavy industry. This also means that requirements from IOT systems for the industrial users are quite different – the need for stable, secure and scalable systems are much more proficient in the industrial world than the consumer world. Also the ability of the system to seamlessly integrate with the workflow of the end user is key in adoption. For e.g: if you have a factory
- The Opportunity to make an impact is huge. The asset or system base is there to be optimised by enacting a system view to the problem. Traditionally in the past lot of asset focussed views has been presented which hasn’t delivered to it’s expectation.
