The main objective of study is get knowledge about the position
of “ACER Laptop” in Pilibhit City.

4. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The purpose of this section is to describe the procedure of the
research and the survey conducted. This includes the overall the
Research Design the sampling, the data collection methods, the data
analysis procedure and limitations of the research.
RESEARCH DESIGN
As the problem is very well defend and clear, a conclusive
research design was used more over the conclusion was to be draw on
the basis of generalized result, so the descriptive design was selected
for the purpose of collecting analyzing and interpreting the data
obtained, on some specific points.
A Research Design is a master plan or a model for the
collection of formal information it is the specification of the methods
5. and procedures for acquiring the information needed for this study. A
descriptive approach was followed since the research was mainly dealt
with the study of the market position of ACER Laptop. The
information is collected from the users of Laptop belonging in Pilibhit.
SAMPLING SCHEME AND SAMPLE SIZE
The procedure used for sampling was “convenience & judgment
sampling” Although the sample chosen by this method has a main
drawback of the members not being true representative of the universe,
yet for a research to be a completed in such a short time limit, it solves
the purpose. The sample size taken for the purpose a research was 100.
SAMPLING PLAN
Sampling Frame : The sampling frame is the city
Pilibhit for the project.
Sampling Unit : The sampling unit is the users of
ACER Laptop.
Sampling Size : For the study it was decided to

Limitations
As whole users were considerate, yet there were few who
were very cynical about market survey and found them
useless.
Finding has been revealed by the researches that are
enthusiastic but have little experience in the field of
research.
The samples choose on the basis of convenience& judgment
sampling might not have been the true representative of the
universe. Though every care has been taken to make
representative.
7. The respondents might not have disclosed their income
exactly due to multiple of reasons and it might have led to an
interpretation
Instrument OF Data Collection
Data collection forms the basics of research project it is
integral part of relevance and genius of Data Collected are the
important factor for instrument selected.
Keeping in mind the objective of the Research a
questionnaire was designed for the purpose of collecting data for
project.
In order to collect the data from the respondent of some
specific points, a nondisclosure, structured, questionnaire was
developed on the basis of the results of the pilot study conducted with
13 respondent the pilot study was exploratory in nature and based on
8. this study various question relating to different aspects like variation of
brand preference with age group, income group, occupation etc were
included in the dichotomous, multiple choice and open-ended question
as per the requirement of the research work (the questionnaire is
enclosed in the annexes). Secondary data used in the research was,
Book, Magazine and Newspaper.
13. During the survey respondents gave different answers. On
the basis of answers we can say that most of the people in Pilibhit have
ACER Laptop. The selling of ACER Laptop is better than the other
Laptop. In ACER Laptop most of the people have “ACER Laptop”
because it has better Picture quality and a fair price; it shows that the
customers of Pilibhit are rational customers.
The most effective feature of ACER Laptop is it quality
and its price. There are two features which are too unsatisfied i.e. resale
value and maintenance.
In Pilibhit the advertisement on television or radio is most
effective vehicle of information by which the customers get
information and influence by it and think for purchase.
Most of customers want that the spare part should be
available in market easily.
