Photography is the art , Science and Practice of creating durable images by recording light or radiation , either chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as Photographic film, or electronically by means of an image sensor. Photography is a combination of visual imagination and design , craft skills and practical organizing ability .

  5. 5. + Point and Shoot Digital Cameras  Commonly referred to as Consumer Digital Cameras Equipment's & Software’s.  Represent Probably 90% of all digital cameras on the market  Typically Small, Compact and lightweight.  Typically Very Friendly  Image Quality Has improved drastically
  6. 6. + Prosumer Digital Cameras  Common Term used to describe advanced models of P&S  Similar in shape and appearance to Digital SLR’s  Typically have extended Zoom range .(42x-60x )  Typically Combine user friendly P&S Features with more advanced manual feature
  7. 7. + Digital Single Lens Reflex- D-SLR  Have Larger Sensor, resulting in graeter image quality  Trend to favor manual Control, Laking many automatic setting found on P&S  Much Larger and Heavier  Ability to interchange system Lenses
  8. 8. + Parts of Still Camera  Viewfinder - Uses a separate window for viewing as the lens for taking the picture. IOW, you are not really looking at a real live image. This applies to most P&S Digital Cameras.  Body –  lens - The lens of a camera captures the light from the subject and brings it to a focus on the film or detector. The design and manufacture of the lens is critical to the quality of the photograph being taken.

  11. 11. + Getting your camera ready  Remove the lens cap if necessary and set the mode dial.  Turn on the camera  Check the battery levels and number of exposures or images you have room to capture.  Apply any necessary additional settings to ensure quality while taking photos.
  12. 12. + Taking the photo  As Ready the camera including stabilize the camera to minimize movement.  Frame the picture.  Press the shutter release button half way to automatically focus the camera.  Depress the shutter release button to capture the image.
  13. 13. + Difference Between Analog & Digital Camera… The main differences between the two are found in the technical aspect of creating the photo; uses a chemical reaction to create the image on the film, whereas a digital camera uses a series of mirrors to reflect the image on a digital storage chip.
