Responsibilities
 Monitoring Mainframe Batch cycle across 10 LPARS.
 Monitoring the flow of batch jobs for preparing SLA report.
 Restarting abended jobs with override statements.
 Analyzing the late batch jobs in different queues on CA-7.
 Avoiding job delay by identifying root cause of delay.
 Cancelling IMS jobs and restarting IMS transactions in
production, integration and test environments whenever required
per support team or BMC ticket.

Project Description

Ford Motor Credit Company is the financial services arm of Ford
Motor Company; its business activities are concentrated primarily in the
area of automobile loans in support of its parent company. The company
offers consumer loans and leases to car buyers, as well as business loans
and lines of credit to dealerships selling Ford Motor Company products.
The LPARS of ford motor company's mainframes supported by Schedulers
and Master schedulers are North American facilities (A, B, C, G, H, K and
Z), Canada facilities (D1, D9), Europe facilities (Jaguar, Warley, Niehl)
and South American facilities (Brazil, Argentina).

Responsibilities
 Doing Environment build activities for running test batch cycles in
a new pipeline
 Running test batch cycles in SIT(System Integration Testing),
CIT( Component Integration Testing), IPT( Integration Production
Testing), DR(Dress Rehearsal) and Regression Testing.
 Working on CA7 Schedules( Defining jobs in Test Environment),
Component Retrofits(JCL, PARM, PROC) from Production to test
environments(SIT,CIT,IPT)
 Creating BTI (Batch Terminal Interface) Cards as per developer
requirement for to do job scheduling in CA7 for both test and
production environments.
 Doing component verification which was designed by developers
before moving into production in order meet current bank
standards.
 Creating Endevor packages for to do migration of both CA7 and
Components into production as per user requirements by
mentioning particular Install date and time in the package.
 Creating PODS (Production Online Database Service) for
production CA7 scheduling in order to record all the changes for a
particular job which is moving into production as part of Endevor
Packages.
 Verification of load outputs of BTI cards in which was moved
production via Endevor package after installing.
 Working knowledge of mainframe based tools such as File Aid,
BMC,JCL.
 Involved in Mainframe File conversions (EBCIDIC and ASCII) and
also worked with COBOL copy books.
 Executing JCL program to FTP various files from mainframes and
load them to staging area and vice versa.
 Preparing release metrics, X-Reference sheet for integrated
releases(IR)
 Implementing all the production changes which was moved
recently in production as part of integrated release into all the
lower test environments.
 Doing initial prep activities for any flow which was newly
retrofitted from production to test environments by fixing GDG
Base missing, File Missing, PROC Missing and PARM missing
errors in order to have smooth test batch run.
 Helping initiatives/tester/developers in analysis phase of any
requirement in order to deliver it effectively. In all the activities I
am one of the key resource in the team and most of the
developers approaches me to sort out their issues as early as
possible.
 Apart from project activities I am involving in process related
activities like doing billing activities for both client side and the
TCS side, On-boarding/Off-boarding of new/released associate in
field glass and IRIS. Assigning tasks in IPMS to fill timesheet and
following up with the team to make it closer. I am the centralized
billing SPOC of my project across all locations.
Project Description Bank of America is currently the 2nd largest U.S. Bank in America,
with assets totaling more than $640 B. Bank of America offers a
diversified product line for both consumer as well as corporate clients. It
operates in 31 states in addition to District of Columbia. Bank of
America's global headquarter is located in Charlotte NC with other major
centers In San Francisco CA, New York NY, Dallas TX, St. Louis MO,
Chicago IL and Jacksonville FL. Bank of America purchased MBNA in
2006 and merged its Card systems to become the world’s largest
independent credit card issuer.
Data Refresh Project conducts an end to end refresh of Test Data
Repository and performance testing environments (HL&IT, CARD, and
Model), The Target Environment utilizes Data stage tool as to perform
Selection, Subset and Sanitization for CARD and MODEL. The Selection
process is a pared down of records based on Selection Criteria. Subset
process will keep the data in sync between MODEL, CARD for common
accounts in those systems using key columns. Sanitization is a masking
of sensitive data.

  • 4.  Involved in Mainframe File conversions (EBCIDIC and ASCII) and also worked with COBOL copy books.  Executing JCL program to FTP various files from mainframes and load them to staging area and vice versa.  Preparing release metrics, X-Reference sheet for integrated releases(IR)  Implementing all the production changes which was moved recently in production as part of integrated release into all the lower test environments.  Doing initial prep activities for any flow which was newly retrofitted from production to test environments by fixing GDG Base missing, File Missing, PROC Missing and PARM missing errors in order to have smooth test batch run.  Helping initiatives/tester/developers in analysis phase of any requirement in order to deliver it effectively. In all the activities I am one of the key resource in the team and most of the developers approaches me to sort out their issues as early as possible.  Apart from project activities I am involving in process related activities like doing billing activities for both client side and the TCS side, On-boarding/Off-boarding of new/released associate in field glass and IRIS. The Selection process is a pared down of records based on Selection Criteria. Subset process will keep the data in sync between MODEL, CARD for common accounts in those systems using key columns.
