of the partograph)

contraceptive use)

• Diagnose retained placenta and manage it appropriately (manual removal of placenta)
• Prescribe and supervision safe blood transfusion
• Assist or perform caesarean sections and assist during Laparotomy for ruptured uterus and ectopic pregnancy
• Provide post natal care (after normal delivery, caesarian section and management of puerperal complications)
to patients and manage the common complaints.

I was the only intern doctor in BRH at that time, and I was responsible of the daily activities in the
hospital doing everything if it is Surgery, OBS/GYN, Medicine, Pediatric and also Outpatient. In alternative
days, I use to visit every ward. I performed 8 C-section in that period in this hospital. Besides that, here
are also some other activities I carried out during my stay at BRH:
Under supervision senior doctor abdisalan nuh khaliil and dr abdikarim abdilahi ajab RHO in saaxil
 I was the only intern Doctor in BRH at that time , and I was responsible Daily activities in
the hospital in every Field , whether it is Surgery, OBS/GYN ,Medicine ,Pediatric and also
 Outpatient.. I used to go alternative days in every ward.
 I performed 8C-section in that period in this hospital.
 Weakly visiting at sheikh and Abdaal MCH. Also use to visit two other MCHs in Berbera. I
use to go to sheikh MCH three times in that period.

1. Supervision of medical activities
- Works closely with the director
- Coordinates with the hospital staff in the day to day running of the hospital activities
- Ensures medical activities, follow up and treatment of patients are taking place in good quality,
communicate with Hospital director in case of decrease in quality of care or neglect of patients; or if
patients are asked for money not applicable for ministry policy of cost sharing
- Replaces the Hospital protocol for patient manager as needed
2. Liaising with MOH and other counterparts
- Attends meetings with the Regional health officer , Hospital ManagementTeam, the Regional Medical
Board or other actors/NGO’s together with the Hospital director MOH representative for important
issues related to the management of the hospital
- Provide translation and analysis of the situation as needed
- Establish links with MoH doctors as per project Director and RHO requests, act as a facilitator
between MOH and others partners
- Liaise and coordinate teaching instutions In las anod (GALGUDUUD institute of health science,Las

3. National Staff Health
- Implements the National Staff Health policy and informs/updates MoH staff accordingly.
- Responsible to orientate the staff to OPD/ER and provide them with a referral letter. Follow up of the
staff seen in OPD/ER.
- Responsible for the pharmacy in the office.
- Responsible for the PEP procedure and follow up.
- Coordinates and refers patients as necessary to the other departments in lasanod Hospital (ER,
Surgery, Pediatrics, Maternity, Medicine)
- Maintains records of all patient data, referrals and reimbursements, and compliance a monthly report
