       A. Glass ½ empty vs. glass ½ full/partly cloudy vs. partly
       sunny

       B. Your beliefs create your feelings = your actions


III.   How to take Action

       A. What is action – taking responsibility for/making a
          commitment to

       B. List of excuses for acting: lazy, fear, lack of expectation,
          lack of a plan, procrastination, fear of failure/rejection

IV.    Steps to Move Out of Your Comfort Zone

       A. Setting the Goal

       B. Creating the Plan

       C. Taking the first step … repeating it

       D. Follow through

    basis: (example: No one in my family has ever
    made it – no matter how hard I try I never win)




    How can you rewrite these so that your beliefs
    will create the feelings that you want. (Example:
    hard work always pays off – practice makes
    perfect).




III. How To Take Action

    A.   Commit to a new behavior
    B.   Be clear about the craving that the old
         pattern fills (ask why you do it)
    C.   Find a constructive way to fill the craving
    D.   Visualize yourself doing it
    E.   Remind yourself regularly about your
         conscious choice to change

IV. Move Out of Your Comfort Zone

    A. Set Your Goal
Finally, answer the following questions for yourself
to make sure that your goal matches your plan
matches what you truly want.

    B. Create Your Plan

    1.   Write the steps that you need to take to
         move toward your goal (ie. Number of calls,
         number of resumes sent, number of
         interviews, etc).
    2.   Set a time and date to take the first step
    3.   Follow through with follow up

You are ready to move out of your comfort zone! You
have desire, you have commitment and you have a
plan!

    It is Up to You to Take the First Step!
