 Originally built a the database for consolidating monitoring data from 4 different server systems (SQL
Server, Oracle, Nagios, IssueTrak) into a single database for use in a client portal front end.
 Built SSIS process to pull data from the source systems on a every minute SQL job.
 Created SSRS reports to replace and simplify client work on returning data by giving them reports to
meet there compiled need instead of copy data numbers into excel to calculate numbers.
Project Veterinary Practice Partners – SQL Server, SSIS – Oct 2014 to Oct 2015
 Built Staging databases for 11 locations, DWH and DWH_Error for bad or duplicate records.
 Built SSIS process to pull data from either a Sybase system or from a zipped file of DBF files sent to
an FTP site into the staging DBs.
 Built SSIS process to convert and merge tables into the DWH for pushing of data to BIRST cloud.

DATABASE DEVELOPMENT
 Data conversion for extracting data from various sources (Excel, Access, CSV, TXT) into a SQL Server
2005 utilizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
 Designed and developed databases in SQL Server and Oracle utilizing schema, indexing, automated
data load, triggers and stored procedures.
 Designed, developed and maintained an Oracle (7 / 8i) database for a Verizon decision support system
for planning and measuring cable-maintenance activities. Data is gathered and joined from other systems
to provide both detailed and high-level reporting with more the 100,000 records loaded and updated daily.
o The database contained 100+ tables, dozens of triggers, stored procedures and functions for
tracking of the following information
 Designed, developed, and maintained a SQL Server (2005) database for a lead generation company that
receives leads from 75+ websites, stores and validates the lead information based on criteria stored in the
database depending on location and then transmit the data across the country to 200+ clients on a daily
basis.
 Designed, developed, and maintained a SQL Server (2000 / 2005) database for a consulting company to
track consultant hours/expenses on a Client/Project basis, vacation, and for accounting department to use
for billing.
APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

o The application maintained a chronological order on which systems to process first and also
making sure every day was processed.
o The application could run on any Windows PC in the network and could have multi copies running
at the same time to help processing multiple days at the same time in case of problems.
o
 Designed and built a VB front-end application for use on Windows platform for access and control of data.
Reports are generated quickly, with the user specifying parameters such as period (daily, month-to-date,
year-to-date, etc.) and specific company hierarchy (wire center, district, state, total company). With one
system, and a few simple mouse clicks, reporting-data is made available on an immediate basis.
o Self-contained user/password logins with the ability to give access to only specific areas of the
program or view data at certain levels.
o Building a custom 7-tier hierarchy using the same common base so that data can be grouped
differently for different departments/groups within the company.
o Functional reporting areas (over 100 Crystal Reports).
WEB DEVELOPMENT
 Designed and developed a website using IIS, ASP, VB Script, and JAVA Script that mirrored almost all of
the features from the VB front-end application above.
o Website utilized over 50 asp pages, Crystal Reports web reporting and a Oracle database
 Designed and built a website using IIS, ASP.NET, JAVA Script to allow Project Managers to setup
Projects/Tasks for Consultants to enter their time against (billable, non-billable, or vacation).
o Allowed for easy access for the accounting department to get hours for billing clients and
bonuses for consultants.
o Website utilized over 30 asp pages, Crystal Reports web reporting and MS SQL 2005 database
 Designed and developed an intranet/extranet Ebiz site for classroom schedules, course curriculum,
student enrollment and student/class evaluations.. Site included reporting on sales revenue, course/class
enrollments.
 Designed and developed a website for a retail company to track what training classes their sales
associates have or have not taken and for the payroll department to handle monthly commissions.
o The system gave the training department the ability to track vital travel and expense information
of the classes with reduced the paperwork and spreadsheet maintenance hours spent by almost
60-70% and allowed for tracking of information that could not have be tracked before the system.
o The payroll department was able to reduce their time in closing commission from 20 to 8 man-
hours.
o Website utilized over 15 asp pages and MS SQL 2005 database
 Designed and developed a website for an education lead generation company using IIS, ASP.NET, VB,
VB Script and Farpoint Spread Control to receive and process data thru form posting and to delivery
results via email or form posting.
o The system allows for Clients and Vendors to log into the system and review data for their
companies.
o Allows for on the fly commission reporting and up to the minute lead reporting with quick and
easy access to a hand full of MS Reporting Services reports that are seamlessly integrated into
the website.
o Website utilized over 25 asp pages, MS Reporting Services web reporting and MS SQL 2005
