‘Unlimited Education’ This presentation will outline the very basic results reached through research, testing, workshops and common sense deduction. Many references to the original source of information, will be offered. 9/19/2010 2
‘Unlimited Education’ No longer can we afford the Education our children receive to be limited to Math, English, Social Studies, Science, History and Physical Education; when success in life requires so much more…... 9/19/2010 3
‘Unlimited Education’ We must expand our definition of Education in our schools beyond the traditional subjects How to treat others, who to be, how to be, where to be and where not to be, what actions to take or not to take and when, are all important things to know. And what we know, is our Education. Education that builds ‘CHARACTER’ Ref: http://www.goodcharacter.com/EStopics.html 9/20/2010 4
‘Unlimited Education’ Ronald Reagan:"We're beginning to realize, once again, that education at, its core, is more than just teaching our young the skills that are needed for a job, however important that is. It's also about passing on to each new generation the values that serve as the foundation and cornerstone of our free democratic society--patriotism, loyalty, faithfulness, courage, the ability to make the crucial moral distinctions between right and wrong…. We are born with Instinct ‘Only’ The instinct to fight: Required for survival and which is why babies swing their arms and slap us in the face. Selfishness: Which is required for Self Preservation and is why kids don’t like to share their toys. Everything else must be learned and everything that is learned, is Education 9/19/2010 6

Morals Definition: The difference between Right and Wrong Nelson Mandela June 1997 Moral Regeneration Movement (MRM): Speaking of the absence of Morality, he said: “… emerge the problems of greed and cruelty, of laziness and egotism, of personal and family failure. It both helps fuel the problems of crime and corruption and hinders our efforts to deal with them.” 9/19/2010 8
Values Definition: The importance we place on things and actions, as well as the priority we give them. How can we expect a child to listen to his Teacher, ask the appropriate questions, do his homework or even care; if he does not, first, VALUE his Education? 9/19/2010 9
Ethics Definition: The consistency a person follows his own Morals and Values. A consistently Moral Person, is an Ethical Person. An Ethical Student demonstrates: ,[object Object]

Morals, Values & Ethics We have proven the correlation between our Core Concept and Better Test Scores, Lower Dropout Rates, Less Crime, Violence, Gang Activity & Drugs, Lower Teen Pregnancy Rates, Higher H.S Graduation and College Entry Rates, a Better Educated, More Productive Work Force, leading to Higher Wages, Lower Divorce Rates, More Two Parent Households and Nicer Neighborhoods with Higher Property Values. Morals, Values & Ethics Mr. Michael Vatus, FBI National Director, Infrastructure Protection, recently said: "One of the most important ways of reducing crime is trying to teach ethics and morality to our kids." Teachers teach. To eliminate youth crime, students must be taught by teachers in school, from grades 3 through 12, a Code of Moral Values of how to be law-abiding adults. Note: We recommend this Education form Pre-School through grade 12 Ref: http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/story?id=119369&page=1 9/20/2010 12
Morals, Values & Ethics Confucius Says:His teachings have re-surfaced in China’s Primary Schools. Specifically Di ZiGui, which is a philosophy that basically says: The earlier the proper Morals, Values and Ethics Education is given to children, the earlier they are being taught to respect elders, respect brothers and sisters, respect wife and husband, respect the society and finally, to respect the country as a whole. By adopting the correct moral teachings to the children, the elders will not have to face the fate of being dumped into an Elderly Home or left abandoned. These teachings are producing positive results in Asia. Ref:http://www.amitabha-gallery.org/pdf/plc/hzdzge.pdf 9/19/2010 13
Morals, Values & Ethics Make up the Character of a Person But why has ‘Character Education’ been all but completely removed from Public Education? The first is the outrageous presumption that morals are intrinsically tied to religion, and that to teach morals, you have to teach religion. The second is the mistaken notion that the Supreme Court, by outlawing the promotion of religion in public schools, with the use of organized prayer and Bible readings, has, thereby, also outlawed moral instruction in schools. Ref: Steven D. Schafersmanhttp://www.freeinquiry.com/teaching-morals.html 9/19/2010 14

We have developed and advocate: ‘Cause, Affect and Consequence Education’, to teach the core Morals, Values and Ethics that we can all agree on. Kids must understand the causes, affects and consequences of the actions and in-actions they take.9/20/2010 15
‘Unlimited Education’ We advocate a curriculum that includes Morals, Values & Ethics, combined with Mandatory Extracurricular Activities that utilize Parents as a resource, School Mentor and Role Model Visitation (Parent Based), Mandatory and Scheduled Parent/Teacher Communication, Periodic Parenting Workshops, the increased use of Field Trips, Private Sector Partnerships and other progressive concepts…. We advocate addressing all needs of The Child… 9/19/2010 16
‘Unlimited Education’ Andre M. Perry is Associate Dean of the College of Education and Human Development at UNO and CEO of Capital One-UNO Charter Network: “In public schools, students also need moral doctrines.” Unfortunately, the politics of moral education too often devolve into hapless arguments about the separation of church and state. Those ethical arguments miss the mark. Religious doctrines, philosophy and the Constitution all provide core values that can be embedded into the curriculum as readily and rigorously as social studies. • 42. Learning is up to the Child Regardless of how new the school building is, how well equipped the school is and to some extent, how good the Teacher is; a child who doesn’t Value his Education and have the Proper Work Ethic will not do very well. That is one reason why even the best schools have some bad Students. And visa versa The Child will go above and beyond to learn, if he Values his Education, has the Work Ethic and is Moral enough to stay out of trouble and make the right decisions. 9/19/2010 25
