Introduction:
We at Brand Chamber believe there is always a room for improvement in
any business process and when it comes to social media a continuous
improvement is a must do to keep up with the rapid changes and updates
implemented by all major social media platforms available for digital
marketing.
This report presents content analysis of Zaroob’s current social media and
provides observations and improvements proposed by Brand Chamber
to bridge the current gaps and define an action plan to boost the online
presence of Zaroob and place it ahead of its competitors in the UAE
market.

By examining your online presence across the different social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and
Twitter) we have identified a number of issues as mentioned below:
-1 There is a lack of audience engagement content (contests, recipes, like & share posts, nutritional
facts, promotions and discounts, etc) as well as an absence of informative posts like pricing, location and
other valuable details to the potential restaurant customers.
-2 The majority of posts lack a full representation of the customer’s experience at the restaurant.
That is they tend to show only cartoons or other parts of the restaurant rather than the bigger picture
of an interactive restaurant experience that has all the elements needed (i.e. visitors, products, staff,
ambience):
a. There is not enough content showing the restaurant staff who are a very important part of the
customer experience when visiting the restaurant. Adding more posts of staff photos at work adds life to
the posted content and brings the audience closer to the real restaurant experience.
b. Lack of quality photos for the diverse satisfied customers at the restaurant.
c. The cartoons used in posts are in many cases different from the ones actually used on the different
walls in the restaurant. This needs to be improved to deliver to the audience a more representative image
of the experience expected when visiting the restaurant.
-3 The majority of menu item photos (i.e. food and drinks) are taken from one angle and rarely at close
up distance revealing food textures. A more creative approach is needed (i.e. different angles, distance
and mixing with the surrounds).

-4 There is a noticeable weak variation in post types (seen from having less videos
compared to photos for example) as well as content does not vary from one social
media platform
to another

Based on the above mentioned, we suggest the following as part of the
action plan to enhance your presence in the social media and attract more
customers:
-1 Focus on users engagement:
a. Post informative content to users and include location, selected
products pricing, special promos, discounts, events and activities.
b. Add more engaging content like contests, recipes, and nutritional
facts and seek users comments and insights through and provide
feedback .
-2 Improve the quality of the restaurant experience delivered to users
through photos or videos by covering the full picture of the promised
experience for a customer. That is to show more interactive posts of
customers, products, staff, restaurant ambience and activities. Equally
important is to show how diverse customers are at the restaurant.

Improvement:
-3 Menu item photos (food and drinks) to be improved by taking them at varying
angles and distances of the camera with different parts of the restaurant in the
background in some cases.
-4 Vary the content posted on one platform increasing video posts and ensure
content variety between the different social media platforms to target the different
age groups of users more common to a particular platform by more suitable content to
their preference.
-5 Hashtags to be improved and varied.
Extrarecommendations:
-1 Add more variety of fun cartoons.
E.g: Calimero, Lulu & Taboosh, Batman & Catwoman.
-2 Modify the style of the current patterns of Palestanian/Jordanian Scarf ( kofeyye )
without changing the concept and the identity of Zaroob.
