• “Sweden is among the top OECD countries in deploying digital
technology across households and business. The availability,
quality and affordability of high-speed Internet in Sweden is
among the best in the OECD”
• More needs to be done to get remote areas of the country
online, bring digital technology to small firms, upgrade skills
and meet security and privacy challenges
• On the business side, while digital tools are widely used in
Swedish firms, most are slow to seize opportunities to analyze
big data. There is also a limited supply of advanced ICT skills in
the Swedish workforce

In Sweden, there should be the
best conditions for the
development, spread, and use of
digitally driven innovations.
Innovation is a prerequisite for
the public sector to find new and
effective solutions to several of
today's major societal challenges
and for business to strengthen
its competitiveness

7. 4. Digital Management
Political leadership is needed to
create safe and robust
digitalization efforts that people
can trust. It is also important to
create better conditions in areas
where digitalization is not fully
used today.

8. 5. Digital Infrastructure
The whole of Sweden should
have access to infrastructure
that allows fast broadband,
stable mobile services and
supports digitalization
