10. Section 6. Comments
What was the most positive aspect of the way in which this instructor taught this
course?
Comment
Gave examples and was very willing to clarify anything for students
It was good that we did so many practice examples in class.
Dan is patient to respond any question and tries his best to help students.
Daniel was very thorough when explaining the material and was always patient when people asked him questions. He
didn't rush through the material and provided us with many examples on the topic being taught that helped us further
understand the concept. The reviews he held outside of class were also very helpful when it came to exams.
Ensured that all students understood the topics being covered in that days class.
He summarized what we learned in lecture to reinforce the information and then did practice problems with us to make
sure we understood and allowed us to ask question in a small classroom setting.
He went through each problem slowly and clearly. He was also always available for extra help.
He just seems like a very knowledgable TA and answers questions accurately. Also has a high test average for his
discussion sections, higher than the class average.
he is very helpful, offers a multitude of examples.
every example was well explained well written out and easy to follow along. Daniel made math discussion somewhat
interesting.
By giving examples and going over homework problems, as well as his study sheets that he made.
could ask a lot of questions
He is very patient and willing to teach whatever I don't understand
What can this instructor do to improve teaching effectiveness in the classroom?
Comment
Try to avoid side tracks
Sometimes we would have quizzes on sections of the chapters that we learned over a week ago. If the quizzes were
that same week it would be better since the method would be fresher in our minds.
make some important problem collection to help us get ready for the exam.
Spend less time explaining topics students should know coming into the course such as specifics of
adding/subtracting fractions. Unless asked for clarification, it takes up time.
watch the time a little closer
Keep track of the time of each class better.
Be a little bit louder, he talks quietly. Other than that, great TA.
he can spend a little longer on more complex areas and spend less time going over easily understood material
not much more
By making more analogies and help make the material a little bit more clear
sometimes a little faster
Maybe speaks louder
Please write any comments you have about the course or course materials.

Yes. I'd say that he was very helpful in learning the material.
He provides extra review sessions for the exams and is knowledgable on the topics. He answers questions thoroughly
and genuinely enjoys teaching this material. I'm not great at math, but with his instruction and extra reviews, I've done
much better than expected on exams.
Yes, I would say he is understanding about the work load we are under from other classes and if you put in effort he will
do everything he can to see you succeed. He also explains the topics well.
