SCHOOL LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCES
Jesuit High School 2011-2012
Encounter Leader:Applied for and was selected for a very competitive position as a small
group leader for junior Coed Encounter. Preparation for retreat included one month of pre-
planning with leadership team. As a team leader, my co-partner and I led small groups through
group sharing and I gave a personal reflection on faith to the entire encounter group (December
2012).
Retreat Leader: Applied for and was selected to be a small group leader on the sophomore
overnight retreat. Led my group through prayerful exercises, group sharing, and various
activities for 2-day retreat (February 2011,October 2012)
Pilgrimage Leader: Selected as a leader for Senior Pilgrimage retreat. Leaders led skits at each
stop along the 12-mile walk and at the church; washed the feet of our peer, teachers, and parent
volunteers during a church ceremony (September 2012).
VOLUNTEERSERVICEEXPERIENCES
Spokane Community Warehouse (September-November 2013): Volunteer at a donation center
as part of Catholic Charities Spokane. Duties included clean up and preparing donations for
customers of the warehouse.
Beaverton PAL (June-August, 2011-2012): Volunteer at a summer day camp for low-household
income children. Worked as a supervisor and playmate for the children. Orchestrated
numerous activities for the children.
