 Established in 1948 it was previously named as Goodearth Company set up to sell and service
imported tractors.
 Renamed as Eicher Tractor Corporation of India Ltd. Incorporated in 1958 at Faridabad .
 Eicher came out with India’s first indigenously built tractor from its Faridabad factory in 1960.
 Its headquarters is in Pithampur , Madhya Pradesh.
 Manufactures Commercial Vehicles like Trucks, Buses, Ambulances , Troop Carriers, Tankers and
also non-automotive engines like Genset, Agro , Marine Applications.
 It had a gross sales turnover of over INR 19,000 million ($US 424 million) in 2005–06.
