Cooperating Teacher
I. Objective :
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to :
1. Read the opening lines of Qur’an preferably from an English Version,
2. justify/ Explain The core teaching of Islam and
3. discussion about Muslim beliefs and practices.
II. Content :
A. Topic : Islam
B. Material : Laptop, LCD, Projector, and Book.
III. Strategy :
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
2. Greeting
3. Checking :
- Checking of Attendance
- Checking the student
4. Checking the class room, it is dirty or not
5. Checking their assignment in last meeting
B. Motivation
1. Ask a question for the student first “Did you’ve hear about Islam before?”
2. Let the student explain what their opinion about Islam.
3. Show the opening lines of Qur’an in English version and let the student read
that.
4. Let the student have a group discussion about Muslim beliefs and practices.
C. Lesson Proper
The Teacher will discuss about :
- Founders
- Sacred text
- Doctrines
- God
- Sects
- Issues
D. Group Activity
The Teacher will group the student into 2 group and the teacher will let the student
discussion about Muslim’s beliefs and Practices.
IV. Evaluation
Direction :
The student will answer this question :
1. Who is the Founder of Islam?
2-3 What are Sacred text of Islam?
4-8 What are the doctrines of Islam?
9. Who is the God of Islam?
10. Give me one Practitioners of Islam ?
Answer Key
1. Prophet Muhammad
2-3 Qur’an, Hadith
4-8 Shahadah, Salat, Sawm, Zakat, Hajj
9. Allah
10. Sunni, Shi’ite, Sufi
V. Assignment :
Retell the life and times of Prophet Muhammad.

Guinoo, MAEd Cooperating Teacher I. Objective : At the end of the lesson, students should be able to : 1. Read the opening lines of Qur’an preferably from an English Version, 2. justify/ Explain The core teaching of Islam and 3. discussion about Muslim beliefs and practices. II. Content : A. Topic : Islam B. Material : Laptop, LCD, Projector, and Book. III. Strategy : A. Preliminary Activities 1. Prayer 2. Greeting 3. Checking : - Checking of Attendance - Checking the student 4. Checking the class room, it is dirty or not 5. Checking their assignment in last meeting B. Motivation 1. Ask a question for the student first “Did you’ve hear about Islam before?”
  • 2. 2. Let the student explain what their opinion about Islam. 3. Show the opening lines of Qur’an in English version and let the student read that. 4. Let the student have a group discussion about Muslim beliefs and practices. C. Lesson Proper The Teacher will discuss about : - Founders - Sacred text - Doctrines - God - Sects - Issues D. Group Activity The Teacher will group the student into 2 group and the teacher will let the student discussion about Muslim’s beliefs and Practices. IV. Evaluation Direction : The student will answer this question : 1. Who is the Founder of Islam? 2-3 What are Sacred text of Islam? 4-8 What are the doctrines of Islam? 9. Who is the God of Islam? 10. Give me one Practitioners of Islam ?
