9. Model 2: ebook platform
In place by publishers (and it’s supplier):
- Central repository for publishers build and hosted by CB Logistics with all
30,000 ebooks available (of which 7,000 now available for e-lending)
- Deals with all administration and reporting
BNL developed:
- Order system (including right management for patrons)
- App for reading on tablet & mobile devices
- Ebook landing page for selecting ebooks (will be integrated in catalogue)
- Purchasing model with publishers (individual negotiations)

Research project:
- Flanders (Bibnet) and Holland (Bibliotheek.nl) joined forces
- Funded by Dutch and Flemish government
- Conducted by Civic Agenda, Dan Mount (London)
Goal:
- In general: Compare like for like countries in EU at e-lending programs
(costs, numbers, models, cooperation with publishers, et cetera)
- Specific for sponsors: Work towards one model for Dutch language territory
