3. Some information… Rilo Kiley is an American indie rock band who are signed by Warner Bros. They came together in 1998 and released their debut single in 2001.

4. Although they are a band our group decided that it would be more suitable if we had a one girl in the video. This is because when listening to the song there is only one noticeable voice an the rest of the band aren’t obvious voices to the song. Although they normally classify under the genre of indie rock this song is more indie pop so it was hard to find similar artists but here are some that we did find.

5. Corrine Bailey Rae We have taken direct inspiration from Corrine Bailey Rae’s music video ‘Put your records on’ because it has the same mood (happy and upbeat). She is a similar artist because she usually sings songs in the genre of indie pop.

8. How is she perceived to be? She is perceived to be very innocent in her music video and her show appearances as this genre doesn’t encourage obvious voyeurism. The topics that the genre usually includes is generally about relationships and being in love (happy topics). This helps attract her attract attention from the expected audience (young women).
