2. Topic What do Highlands Ranch High School students think about teen pregnancy?
3. Background Our group decided to investigate this topic because teen pregnancy is something almost all high school students can relate to. Many high school students are pressured to have sex and pregnancy is always a concern. This topic was something we thought many high school students have opinions on. With this survey we got a chance to learn some of their opinions regarding this topic.
4. Methodology Our sampling procedure was done by taking an SRS from a list of Highlands Ranch High School teachers with an Advisement class to choose two advisement classes in which to administer our survey. The survey was given on Wednesday, November 10th, 2010. A group member of ours, Becca, took the survey to the chosen advisement classes and gave them directions and passed out the surveys.
8. There was a high rate of errors for this question. 6 students, or 14% of respondents put an answer other than one of the three given choices. These are counted as “Other” in the graph.

20. The questions relating to the damage to a person’s reputation was very gender biased. That is, women’s reputations were seen to have degraded more so than the men who got them pregnant. 25. Extensions It would be interesting to ask more questions about the boy, such as how financially responsible he is and they should take turns caring for the baby. It would also be interesting to gather the opinions from girls that have gone through teen pregnancy to get a better understanding of what it is like.
