AWESOME INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES TO QUICKLY CHOOSE A BAD@$$NEW EMPLOYEE 
Technique: Look for indicators that showcase a level of previous work performance that rises above the average. 
Ideally, the candidate will answer this question using company goals and expectations that they were measured against previously. It can also help you to determine if the candidate keys in on factors that are important for the role and your company. How the candidate answers this question will also tell you how they perceive themselves. Look for specific metrics in their answer as well as realistic self-awareness. Probe more if they do not bring metrics into the answer so you can discover how they were measured. 
Ask: How would you know without anyone telling you, that you’ve done not just a good job, but an outstanding job? 
Technique: Discover the candidate’s level of political savviness and understanding of when to stay out of or dive into a conflict situation. 
Conflict can create healthy competition in the right circumstances. Knowing when to let something go is critical to remaining focused on productive activities. It can also indicate the awareness that it’s not always necessary to be right. 
Ask: Give me an example of when you have had to “pick your battle” and what you decided to do. 
Technique: Look for several insights: How do they approach problem-solving? Do they have a systematic approach that is logical and comprehensive and repeatable? 
The question will help you to determine how the candidate reacts when things don’t go as planned. Can they adapt their approach to unpredictable situations? Do they make use of a wide range of resources and out of the box thinking? Make sure you continue to probe the candidate until you can determine if their solutions were effective and if their approach was efficient. 
Ask: Tell me about a time when you were given a problem, of which you had no prior knowledge. How did you deal with the situation and how did you eventually solve the problem?
