3. The primary goal of structural geology is to use measurements of present-day rock geometries to uncover information about the history of deformation (strain) in the rocks, and ultimately, to understand the stress field that resulted in the observed strain and geometries.
4. The study of geologic structures has been of prime importance in economic geology, both petroleum geology and mining geology.

7. The first point has the distance of 30 meters and the bearing is S45 E while the second point has a distance of 24, the third up to the eighth point has the same distance with the first point. The last point has a distance of 16 meters completing the required distance. We observed that the fourth and the fifth point has the same bearing and the sixth and the seventh point are the elevated area.

9. B. Findings We found evidences that the top portion of Shrine Hills in Matina in Davao City is stable and could be built by infrastructures, houses and commercial lots, but its anticline or flanks are weak that could cause soil avalanche just like what had happened in Cherry Hills Subdivision. Just like other any terrain map, it designates the different landforms and their vulnerabilities and as our observations, we have determined that the entire Shrine Hills, the highest portion at top of the ridge is stable. It does not have much movement. But the flanks are moving and unstable because the kinds of soil it have are weak and easy to collapsed by excessive rainfalls. They are weak and we know there are a lot of developments on the slopes. We observed that there are a lot of open area a long side the central road of Shrine Hills and prone to landslides.
10. Some portions of Shrine Hills those are highly vulnerable to geologic hazards because they are part of the Mindanao eastern seaboard. These include flashflood and landslides that are merely happening in the flank or anticline of Shrine Hills. And as we know the Philippines is a chopsuey of natural hazards, with all disasters happening here except snow-related hazards. These evidences are supported from the articles who tackled the geologic study of Shrine Hills and professional Geologists.
