i. The HLG Logistics and Construction team shall ensure the correct
size and type of MEWP for the task is to be used for the task;
ii. The HLG Logistics team / HSE Officers shall undertake visual
checks of all MEWP’s and operator certificates when arriving on
site;
iii. All MEWP’s shall be Third Party Certificated by a DM approved inspector,
with copies available in work area. New equipment shall be used where
practicable;
iv. MEWP shall not be used for lifting materials, only for assembling false-
work;
v. All terrain MEWP shall be used, on compacted level ground as illustrated
on Logistic Plan;
vi. All existing structures shall be protected by barriers etc. to prevent
damage;
vii. Drop zones implemented and barriers installed around working MEWP’s;
viii. MEWP work platform to be kept clean, and damage to switches etc. to be
reported immediately to management;
ix. Daily checks taken before work commences, leaks, warning sirens,
cables, tyres etc.;

i. Safety harness and lanyard are to be used and hooked off to a secure
anchor point;

xi. Written report weekly on falsework by Engineers, document filed;
xii. Falsework inspected after damage or incident likely to affect structural
stability such as high winds, heavy rain or electrical storm;
xiii. No alterations to falsework by untrained persons;
xiv. No overloading of falsework, TWC shall follow design SWL when
distributing materials;
xv. Ensure good standard of lighting, at night, for the work area.
