2. Leader Alleluia, Christ is risen!
People The Lord is risen indeed, Alleluia!
3. Beloved in Christ, we come together
to offer to Almighty God
our worship and praise and thanksgiving,
to confess our sins
and to receive God's forgiveness,
to hear his holy word proclaimed,
to bring before him our needs
and the needs of the world,
and to pray that in the power of his Spirit
we may serve him and
know the greatness of his love.
6. Heavenly Father,
we have sinned against you
and against our neighbor
in thought and word and deed,
through negligence,
through weakness,
through our own deliberate fault;
by what we have done
and by what we have failed to do.
7. We are truly sorry
and repent of all our sins.
For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ
who died for us,
forgive us all that is past;
and grant that we may serve you
in newness of life
to the glory of your name. Amen.
9. Leader Lord, open our lips
People and our mouth will proclaim your praise.
Leader O God, make speed to save us.
People O Lord, make haste to help us.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit;
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and shall be for ever. Amen.
Leader Praise the Lord.
People The Lord’s name be praised.
14. Come, let us sing to the Lord;
let us shout for joy
to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence
with thanksgiving
And raise a loud shout to him with psalms.
For the Lord is a great God,
and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the caverns of the earth,
and the heights of the hills are his also.
15. The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands have molded the dry land.
Come, let us bow down,
and bend the knee,
and kneel before the Lord our Maker.
For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture
and the sheep of his hand.
Oh, that today
you would hearken to his voice!
17. Do not store up for yourselves treasures
on earth, where moth and rust consume
and where thieves break in and steal; but
store up for yourselves treasures in
heaven, where neither moth nor rust
consumes and where thieves do not break
in and steal. For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also.
18. No one can serve two masters; for a slave
will either hate the one and love the other,
or be devoted to the one and despise the
other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
25. Do not store up for yourselves treasures
on earth, where moth and rust consume
and where thieves break in and steal; but
store up for yourselves treasures in
heaven, where neither moth nor rust
consumes and where thieves do not break
in and steal. For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also.
28. Leader The Lord be with you
People And also with you.
Leader Let us pray.
29. Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.
30. L. Show us your mercy, O Lord;
P. And grant us your salvation.
L. Clothe your ministers with righteousness;
P. Let your people sing with joy.
L. Give peace, O Lord, in all the world;
P. For only in you can we live in safety.
L. means Leader, P. means People
31. L. Lord, keep this nation under your care;
P. And guide us in the way
of justice and truth.
L. Let your way be known upon earth;
P. Your saving health among all nations.
L. Let not the needy, O Lord, be forgotten;
P. Nor the hope of the poor be taken away.
L. Create in us clean hearts, O God;
P. And sustain us with your Holy Spirit.
32. Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your
arms of love on the hard wood of the cross
that everyone might come within the reach
of your saving embrace:
So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching
forth our hands in love, may bring those
who do not know you to the knowledge
and love of you; for the honor of your
Name. Amen.
33. your prayers
please add your own prayers,
thanksgivings, and intercessions,
either silently or aloud.
35. Almighty God, you have given us grace at this
time with one accord to make our common
supplication to you;
and you have promised through your well-
beloved Son that when two or three are
gathered together in his Name you will be in
the midst of them:
Fulfill now, O Lord, our desires and petitions
as may be best for us;
granting us in this world knowledge of
your truth, and in the age to come life
everlasting. Amen.
37. Leader Alleluia, Christ is risen!
People The Lord is risen indeed, Alleluia!
