The TIMON project received over 5 million euros in funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme to develop an integrated mobility system relying on cooperative networks and open data. The project involves 11 partners across Europe led by the University of Deusto in Spain. It aims to increase road safety, improve transport flexibility, and reduce pollution and congestion by collecting data from vehicles, infrastructure, and open sources to provide real-time routing and prediction services through a web platform and mobile apps. The services will be tested through pilots involving drivers, cyclists and public transport users in Helmond, Netherlands and Ljubljana, Slovenia.
