7.  The EOI Esplugues and me
 I felt nervous,
 I felt fear,
 the place was full, but I was there.
 I wanted to hear my name, I waited more than three years,
 all people thought “say my name”,
 and I finally I got my place.

 First day in class,
 first feelings in my head,
 What could I say? I don’t have words,
 but I remembered my boyfriend’s advice:
 be yourself and nothing else.

 The teacher is smiling all the time
 I want to be like her.
 We sometimes talk and sing in English
 and I enjoy every day.

 I hope to have good marks
 but what do I know?
 from first to fifth course I will arrive
 because I’m positive and bright.

9. VIENS À L’EOI!
Que tu as deux après-midis libres, je crois
Que tu aimes le français, je crois
Que tu habites près de l’EOI, je sais
Veux-tu être élève de Français ?
L'école est dans un parc, je l’ai vue
Les gens semblent heureux, je l’ai vu
Qu’il y ait de nouveaux tableaux, je sais
Veux-tu être élève de Français ?
Faire des crêpes variées, on peut;
Aller au cinéma, chanter, on peut;
Que tu mangeras du fromage, je sais;
Veux-tu être élève de Français ?
Les compagnons seront sympas, bien sûr
La professeur sera patiente, bien sûr
Et « pourtant », « depuis » et « large », je sais
Ce seront les seuls faux amis que tu connais.
Viens à l’EOI Esplugues, étudie avec nous
Ne reste pas seul, viens avec nous
Ce sera difficile mais amusant, je sais
Tu ne regretteras pas, d'apprendre le Français!

10. Una caduta storica
Era un giorno normale in classe.
Stavano facendo un esercizio grammaticale, quando è caduta una
studentessa dalla sua sedia, prima lentamente, poi è arrivato un
punto di equilibrio ma finalmente ha vinto la legge della gravità.
Per fortuna, lei non si è fatta male ed allora c’è stata un’esplosione
generale di risate senza fine.
È stata una fugace esperienza, ma per noi è stata la terapia della
risata e l’unione.
Il mondo ricorderà grandi cadute storiche: Muro di Berlino, la borsa
americana del 1929, l‘impero romano. Noi, da questo giorno
ricordiamo anche questa della compagna, perché è stata la nostra
caduta.

11. Die EOI Esplugues und ich
Mittwochabend. Ich gehe zur EOI Esplugues zu
meinem Deutschkurs. Ich bin so müde, aber
glücklich. Was machen wir heute? Viele neue
grammatische Konzepte?
Ich gehe in die Schule hinein. Dort sind meine
Klassenkameraden. Die Klasse fängt an. Nur die
Lehrerin spricht und plötzlich… BUUM! Ein lautes
Geräusch. Alle Wände zittern. Wir stecken unsere
Köpfe zum Fenster hinaus und… ein Drache! Das
kann nicht sein. Die Drachen existieren nicht! Aber
er ist da und er hat brilliantblaue Schuppen.
Obwohl er wirklich hübsch ist, habe ich viel Angst.
Was sollen wir tun? Jemand ruft: Bücher werfen!
Viele Bücher fliegen. Ein Buch verletzt den Drachen
und er blutet. Schnell flieht er. Wir sind gerettet!
Vom Blut des Drachens wachsen im Park rote
Rosen.
Ja klar! Jetzt geht mir ein Licht auf! Heute ist der
23. April!

12. EOI Esplugues and me
EOI Esplugues,
is like an island
in the middle of a beautiful garden.
When I arrive and enter,
I feel far
from all that is outside.
When I enter the school,
I return to my childhood years,
the blackboard, books, pencils.
In each class I can discover
new words and good atmosphere.
Going into the school is magic.
It's like being in another world,
where people speak differently,
where without knowing it…..
you end up sharing
stories, feelings
and lots of moments.
I’m lucky to be in this school,
it’s like my second home.
It’s a beautiful gift to be here.

13. La EOI et moi
L’EOI d’Esplugues,
est comme une île.
au milieu d’un beau jardin.
Quand on arrive et on entre,
on se sent d’être loin,
de tout ce qui est en dehors.
Entrer dans cette école,
me fait revenir à mon enfance,
le tableau noir, les livres, les crayons.
on peut découvrir, dans chaque classe
des nouveaux mots et bonne ambiance.
Entrer dans l’école est magique.
c’est comme être dans un autre monde.
où les gens parlent différentes,
où sans le savoir….
vous venez de partager
des histoires, des sentiments
et beaucoup de moments.
Je suis chanceux d’avoir cette école
c’est comme ma deuxième maison.
C’est un beau cadeau, être ici,
merci, merci, pour tout EOI.

14. Mi sono innamorato della
cultura e dell'arte italiana, e
l'EOI era la risposta. Non ero
cosciente dell'avventura nella
quale mi imbarcavo, un viaggio
di emozioni, sentimenti, vicende
e soprattutto, d'amore verso
una lingua.
Tornare a sentire quel tremore
nella voce parlando in pubblico,
la soddisfazione personale
realizzando bene un compito,
notare il calore dei compagni
oppure semplicemente
aspettare con impazienza il
lunedì e il mercoledì.
Le ore nell'EOI mi hanno
dimostrato che l'età è un
numero, che la cultura è felicità
e che la voglia di imparare
questa lingua è tutta un'azione
d'amore.

15. Es ist mein erstes Jahr,
in der EOI Esplugues de Llobregat,
ich habe viele Sachen gelernt,
und auch viele Aufsätze gemacht.
Herbert ist immer der letzte,
der den Raum verlässt,
ich kann nicht sicher wissen,
ob er in die Schule schläft.
Der Satz “Keine Hausaufgaben“,
die Schüler niemals gehört haben,
du hast die Liste von Verben,
zum unbedingt auswendig Lernen.
Keine Panik mit der Prüfung,
machen Sie sich bitte keine Sorgen,
es ist alles ganz in Ordnung,
Grammatik, Lesen und Hören.
Sehr einfach sind die Schreiben,
zwei Aufsätze in einer halben Stunde,
und sie sollten nicht vergessen,
am Ende kommt das Sprechen.
Trotz allem, es ist gut zu lernen,
mit schönen Lehrern und Kollegen.
Hier kannst du viel lächeln,

16. The EOI and me
I want to write a poem,
But I don’t think I’ll manage.
It’s already 3 o’clock and I’m getting ready,
Because I want to get to school early.
I wish to speak English fluently,
Although it’s difficult to learn it correctly.
I must dedicate a lot of interest and constancy
So that my English improves incessantly.
I want to write a poem
But I don’t think I’m managing.
In every new class I’m lost looking at new things,
Because I think I will not understand anything.
But step by step, and word by word
I’m listening, talking and learning non-stop.
With my young classmates I laugh like a baby
Owing to their ideas of new generation, maybe.

But I don’t think I’ve managed.

17. L’EOI et Moi
Je marchais dans la rue
et un homme m’a dit “Hello!”
mais je ne l’ai pas compris
je ne connaissais pas un mot.
Une fille s'est approchée de moi
je ne savais pas quoi faire
elle m’a saluée avec “Ça va?”
mais je ne parlais pas français.
Des garçons m’ont souri
“Ciao, bella” je les ai écoutés
Je voulais seulement fuir
j’ai besoin d’un dictionnaire !
Je suis entrée dans un parc
qui s’appelle “Can Vidalet”
quelqu'un m’a dit “GutenTag”
j’ai répondu “qu’est-ce que c’est?”
Et puis, soudain, je l’ai vu,
c’était la fin de mes problèmes
j'allais m’inscrire à l’EOI
dans quelle langue? Beau dilemme

20. La chaise par laquelle nous sommes tous passés
Beaucoup de gens ont mis leurs fesses sur moi au fil du
temps. Universitaires, banquiers, retraités, pilotes,
enseignants, médecins et même postiers et conducteurs de
bus. J’ai senti des fesses de tous les âges, de tous les pays,
de toutes les idéologies. Mais, savez-vous le plus curieux?
Bien que je les sentais toutes différentes, tous étaient égaux.
J’ai vu comme des gens qui n’avaient apparemment rien en
commun, de lundi à mercredi ou de mardi à jeudi, ont forgé
de grandes amitiés en partageant une même langue et en
l’apprenant à l’aimer ensemble.
Peut-être je suis déjà un peu vieille, ce sont de nombreuses
années ici, mais je sais que j’ai encore beaucoup d'années
pour apprendre, car je suis curieuse et je m’intéresse à tout.
Oui, je suis une chaise de l’EOI Esplugues.

Viaggio a “Scuola Italia” due volte alla settimana.
Scuola accogliente: Da nord a sud, chiunque trova il suo
posto.
Scuola salutare: Finestre aperte, aria rinnovata, cinguettii
naturali.
Scuola multifunzionale: Lingua, arte e gastronomia da
condividere.
Scuola-stivale: Piedi caldi, nessun ostacolo, percorso sicuro.
Scuola tricolore: Sulla lavagna verde, col gesso bianco, si
scrive un pensiero in rosso.
Scuola pubblica: grande sfida, progetto globale e
consapevole, inserimento culturale, parità, libertà individuale.
Piccolo, il mio viaggio; grande, la nostra scuola!

22. EOI Esplugues and me
At the summer’s end
EOI school starts again.
No need to be shy
lots of friends give you a try.
Outside the building
people are always chilling.
By beautiful trees it is surrounded
‘cause next to a park it is located.
Inside we can find different classes
with talkative teachers and students.
At one o’clock and six thirty there are busy hallways,
so if you need calm… just use the quiet library!
English, German, Italian and French are the possibilities,
it depends on your own preferences.
We do speaking and listening activities,
also writings and some readings.
Homework, mock exams and quizzes
help the students to achieve their wishes.
If you are interested in EOI courses,
don’t hesitate, just join the classes!

23. ‘Hello doctor, how are you? I’m here because I
don’t know what is happening to me…. I can’t
watch TV or listen to the radio in my native
language… There are moments that I start to
talk in English without noticing... I’m excited on
Tuesday and Thursday afternoon… I know…’
‘Stop, stop. Let me guess… By chance… You
learn English at EOI Esplugues, don’t you?’
‘Yes… I do…’
‘Then you suffer what is called EOI Esplugues
Syndrome. It is caused because this school has
the peculiarity of feeding your happiness
hormones. You are always on cloud nine there
because you have found a place where you can
learn languages in a high quality level having
fun. Let’s say it is your perfect school with your
perfect teachers. Don’t worry at all. Keep
learning and enjoying as much as you can. Life
is too short to worry about tiny things.’
