for the Power of Grace
Sunday, November 18, 2012
2. 1. Regret
A negative conscious and
emotional reaction to personal
past acts and behaviors.
3. Regret is often a feeling of
sadness, shame,
embarrassment, depression,
annoyance or guilt.
Though different from regret,
shame and guilt are related and
bring helplessness because we
understand we cannot change
the past.

11. Galatians 1:13
You know what I was like when I
followed the Jewish religion—
how I violently persecuted God’s
church. I did my best to destroy
it.
12. Acts 22:4
…I persecuted the followers of
the Way, hounding some to
death, arresting both men and
women and throwing them in
prison.
13. If only…
Inflicting great
If only… pain and
hardship
If only…
15. Step 1
“Thank you, Lord for…”
Step 2
“Thank you, Lord that…”
Step 3
“Now Lord, I pray for ____...”
16. 1 Corinthians 15:9,10
For I am the least of all the
apostles. In fact, I’m not even
worthy to be called an apostle
after the way I persecuted God’s
church.
17. 1 Corinthians 15:9,10
But whatever I am now, it is all
because God poured out his
special favor on me [GRACE]--
and not without results.
For I have worked harder than all
the other apostles, yet it was not
I but God who was working
through me by his grace.
