2. My Music Video

The plan for my music video is to shoot the main singer Holly in an urban
setting, a car park and other places around Ipswich with two girl dancers Shelby
and Jade this is something Beyonce has in her music videos. The main focus of
the video will be Holly. The song is powerful and encourages women to be
strong and independent so in my music video I will be challenging female
stereotypes which does and has occurred in R&B music videos. The singer and
dancers will also follow R&B conventions of dance, their outfits, setting, scene
and props.

3. Setting
My music video will follow R&B music video conventions and show urban
areas around Ipswich during the day and at night. This locations will be the
docks, graffiti areas, underground car parks and the rooftops of car parks
showing the view of Ipswich and also the band performing and rehearsing at
one of their gigs/concerts. I got the idea of using these locations from this
R&B music video shot in London.

4. Costume, Hair And Make- Up
Holly (Singer) – Holly's hair will be down and styled, her hair is currently red which will
give her edgy look and she will stand out even more within the music video. Her make up
will be dark and mysterious yet still giving off a sexy vibe. Holly’s costume will be easy to
move around in as she has a dance sequence within the music video but will be in style,
sexy a little revealing but not to much and giving off an edgy look, her shoes will change
from heels to trainers between scenes, her second costume will be a little more sexy i.e.
Dress and heels. The colours will consist of dark and neutral colours except the second
outfit, that outfit will be more glamour's and vary in colours.
Shelby & Jade (Dancers) – Both dancers again will be wearing something comfortable
and easy to move around in, their hair will be up so it’s different to the singer but still styled
nicely, their make up will also be dark and mysterious. They will only have one outfit and
that will be a little revealing going with the stereotypes of R&B conventions i.e. Shorts,
nice top, jumper and trainers looking less sexier then the main focus, the singer but still in
style. The colours will consist of dark and neutral colours.
