3. Photographers whose photographs I may be inspired by:
. Anna Gaskell
I like this particular photo by Anna because
of it’s unusual angle and how the background
has been made blurry compared to the person
in the foreground of the image ( Which is commonly
called depth of field ). The colours within the photo
go well together too and I’m also quite interested
in taking photos of other people perhaps and this examp
by Anna Gaskell is a unique take on this.
Also, I rather like the unusual angle
this photo was took in. You can almost get a
‘ warm ‘ sense of feeling when looking at the
image due to lighting be quite dim and cozy.
4. What I like about this photo, by Sally Mann, is how ironic it is.
A young child pictured with a cigarette in her hand posing like an
adult with a serious expression on her face. I like how she’s took
something innocent ( in
this case, a young girl ) and photographed her behaving differently
to how we would expect.
5. Another photographer whose images
are quite interesting, I think, is Andrew
Brooks. I only like some of his photos, as
with the other photographers mentioned
in the power point. I like the particular
settings/landscapes he chooses to take
images of and the way in which he does so,
I find affective. The above tunnel picture for
example, I find clever due to the lighting and
how it draws you in to the center, up the stairs. The airport photo too is good in the way it’s
6. What am I going to base my photos around?
. People/Fashion
. Surroundings – Places I go, travelling ( transport, i.e.
– Trains )
I’m also interested in creating a certain effect on all of
my photos.
Even though they’ll be of different things, I’d like the
same style to run though them. For example, I’m
particularly interested in Lomography.
