1. Updated, obtained and ensured total compliance with current national and state mandates including
SUNY’s Sexual Violence Policies, Clery Report, and Title IX. Oversaw mandated training for
student leaders and athletes regarding sexual violence.
Returned conduct system to a Best Practices format which eliminating costly judicial board cases. New
format also led to improved student retention through more collaborative resolution of issues.
Led critical budget cut initiatives to return the college to financial solvency:
Cut $128,000 in personnel expenses by eliminating three and restructuring two positions.
Saved $48,000 by restructuring the college’s security operations contract.
Cut an additional $16,000+ through cost saving measures in “contractual” items.
Saved $6,000+ by reducing hours of operation at the on-campus athletic facility.
Appointed to numerous committees and boards: President’s Cabinet, Assessment Committee,
Health and Safety Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. Formed and Chaired the CARE
Team to review and assess students experiencing crisis.
Created a task force to identify ways to improve student recruitment and retention:
Marketed already existing online business degrees to non-traditional adult students which
ensured 100% program enrollment.
Created a structured approach to International Student Services that coordinated activities
and maintained first year international student enrollment numbers without additional
resources.
Coordinated college’s first-ever day long comprehensive training on active shooter incidents for crisis
management team and entire college staff to insure staff readiness.
