else he could get hurt more easily.
c) He would read and believe the road signs.
d) He would be careful in a storm… in a fog he cannot see the
road clearly.
• Would John stop following the map when things are
“uncomfortable” or hard?
• Would he complain and be sorry for himself? Maybe.
• But if he really wants to get home to his family, he would
go on!
4. • We are all on a journey, together!
• God thought of you, and He loved you
long before you were even born!
• He wanted to create you
• His love sends you on the journey of life.
• He wants you to have a good and happy life!
• He wishes with all his heart that you
would keep coming home to the Family of
God,
• where you will be so happy that you cannot
even imagine!
5. • God gave us a “map” for the journey, THE COMMANDMENTS
• We know them and we are grateful for them; they are guide for our
happiness.
• But many people have never heard of them– or forgot them!
• (Com-mandare in Latin means to send with something, not empty-handed)
• God gave us something much better than a built-in radar system:
• It is like a “receiver” in our hearts, a direct line to God, open all the
time.
• Have you ever heard of “the little voice inside of you?” it is telling
us,
• “Go ahead and be kind… help this person…
• don’t’ let your friend down…
• smile, don’t frown…”
• And when you listened to the little voice, you were happy you did!
6. • Everyone has a direct line to God
• If everyone followed it,
a) we would all look for each other
b) and we would all safely get home to the Family of God.
• This voice inside of us has a name; It is called
CONSCIENCE.
• CON in Latin or Spanish means “together with”
• SCIENCE MEANS “Knowing”
• We all know something together!
• Each of us really know deep down in our heart when
something is right or wrong.
7. • God sends us a special friend to help us to hear
and follow is voice: ourGuardian angel.
• “ANGEL” means “messenger”
• He is God’s messenger to protect and guard us from harm
and sadness and danger.
• Sometimes we are hard of hearing and don’t listen
to our conscience.
• Why?We confuse the loving voice of God in our
hearts with another voice!
8. • There is another voice that tells us lies:
“God doesn’t want you to be happy… to have fun… Listen to ME!
I will tell you what makes you happy.
Take another road!
Don’t follow those rules!
Don’t look out for others!
• Does this other voice remind you of someone?
• The Fallen Angel, the enemy of God: The enemy of Love,
Happiness and truth,
• He is the Devil: This is how he deceive Adam and Eve.
9. 1. How can we learn to listen? Have you ever tried to talk
to people and they didn’t listen because they never stop
talking?

b) Ask God and your GuardianAngel to open you ears,
c) Jesus opened the ears of the deaf. He can open the ears
of your heart, too!
2. What kinds of noises are around us?
• The radio all the time..
• Television.. Movies, videos..The wrong crowd…
3. What are they telling us?
• very often, they are telling us to get off the right road… not
even think of our journey to the Family of God
10. 1. How can we tell if we followed the voice of our conscience,
the voice of God?
• If you love God and want him to be your best Friend, and you decide to
say or do something, your Guardian Angel will help you!
• If you did listen to your conscience you will be:
• Peaceful -not disturbed
• Happy -not worried
• Loving -not afraid
• Open -not hiding
2. What if many people around you don’t follow the “map” on
their journey,
• and you can see that they are not coming closer to the Family of
God,— would you follow them??
• Some times we do; because we neglect to listen our Conscience.
11. • How can we get back on the right road to God?
1. Tell God you are sorry, as soon as you noticed that you
did or said something wrong,
and He forgives you any time you ask, but be sincere!
2. Got to confession as soon as you can, to seal your
apology formally.
3. In every confession and communion, Jesus gives you
more strength!
And Jesus gives you more Grace through the power of
the Holy Spirit.
• So don’t ever give up on yourself!
12. • What is God saying to us trough the voice of our
conscience?
• Let us be quiet,
• Let each of us here listen to the voice in your hearts.
• This coming week, stop and quiet at least 3 times
a day, listen the voice of your conscience.
a) When you walk to school…
b) Or before you turn on the radio..
c) Or when you go to your room.
• What does it ask us now? Listen carefully…
13. • How good God the Father is: He sent Jesus, His
Son to show us the way!
• Jesus said,
• “I am the way, the truth and the life!
• and whenever we get tired on our journey then
Jesus invites us:
• “Come to me when you are burdened. I will refresh
you.”
• (sometime we get tire of doing good and listening
to our conscience), But don’t give up on yourself.
