While working for Joe’s Market, I learned so much about being a team leader. I worked so many departments in the
store not only bakery. I helped with the produce department open the salad bar and as a front end manager. As a bak-
ery assistant manager I oversaw the bakery staff to ensure the bakeries standards were being forced. I also oversaw the
inventory and making sure all the product was counted for. I also traced inventory which required calculating proper
amounts of ingredients necessary for production of baked good as given day or week. As such, math skill were required.
As a bakery assistant manager I kept an eye on demand for each kind of pastry to know how much to supply. My job
also required responsibility for ensuring the profitability of the bakery. This meant I worked within the confines of the
bakeries budget to maximize sales. I had to enforce standards regarding food handling practices, safety and sanitation. I
knew the knowledge of health department regulations. I was in charge of keeping the bakery clean, which involved
cleaning and organizing display cases, bakery coolers and work areas. I was certified as a barista and make coffee
drinks for customers.

Working for Panera Bread I was a shift supervisor. I started out as a bakery opener then succeeded shortly after I be-
came associate trainer. As associate trainer it was my job to train all the new associate to becoming a successful Pan-
era employee. When I became Shift Supervisor my role was to be a role model and responsible for assisting customers
and supporting the entire bakery cafe team. I ran mid shifts and morning shifts. I had all the same responsibilities as
Assistant manager. I was a key holder and dealt with the deposit. I was the back bone to the front end of the store. I
dealt with many customer service and making sure customers left with a smile on their face. I also worked as a catering
