2. EMAIL
•
A system for sending and receiving messages electronically over
a computer network.
•
E-mail is asynchronous and does not require the receiver of the
message to be online at the time the message is sent or
received.
•
E-mail also allows a user to distribute messages to large
numbers of recipients instantaneously.

A Website containing the writer’s or group of writer’s own
experiences, observation, opinion etc.
•
Commonly uses images and links to provide aesthetic sites.

4. Online Chat
•
May refer to any kind of communication over the Internet that
offers a real-time transmission of text messages from sender to
reciever.
•
Similar to a spoken conversation is created but over internet
forums, emails, social networking sites etc.

5. Social Bookmarking

A centralized online service which enables users to add,
annotate, edit and share bookmarks of web documents.
•
Doesn’t save the resources themselves but merely bookmarks
that reference them. (eg. A link to bookmarked page)

•

•

Social Networking
