From 2010 to 2014, Korrie Louwes was Alderman to the City of Rotterdam and responsible for labor, higher education, innovation and participation. Now she works as a senior management consultant at Berenschot on the projects at the intersection of public and private domain. Louwes graduated with a doctoral degree history at the University of Leiden. She has years of experience in government departments . From 1990 to 2010 she worked in various positions at the Ministry of General Affairs, Finance, Economic Affairs and Social Affairs and Employment. She was among others policy officer, deputy secretary of the Education Council and spokesperson.
