 The Nifty closed the week slightly positive amid reduced volatility. The index traded in the narrow range of
8500-8600 throughout the week. This was the fourth consecutive weekly closure above 8500 for the index.
 The Sensex Major gainers gainers of the week were Tata Steel (6.2 %), Punjab National National Bank (5.9 %),
Bosch Ltd (5.6 %), Dr Reddy s’ (4.5 %) and Bank of Baroda (4.3%) • On the other hand, major Nifty losers of the
week were HCL tech (-5.9%), Coal India (-5.6%), Bhel (-4.4%), Idea Cellular (-3.7%) and Gail India (-3.7%)
 Throughout Friday’s session, the Nifty traded in a narrow range of 35 points. Apart from auto, all major sectors
ended flat to negative, leading the index to end 24 points lower from the previous close. Nifty future premium
settled at 30 points. India VIX rose 1.3% and ended at 14.9
 FIIs sold | 94 crore while DIIs bought | 34 crore in the cash segment. FIIs bought | 85 crore in index futures and
| 243 crore in index options. In stock futures, they sold | 502 crore
 The highest Put base is at the 8200 strike with 61 lakh shares while the highest Call base is at the 8800 strike
with 52 lakh shares. The 8500 and 8900 Calls saw reductions of 0.25 and 0.8 lakh shares, respectively. The
8200 and 8600 Put strikes saw additions of 3.3 and 2.4 lakh shares, respectively
 Nifty Future: The Nifty is likely to open negative on the back of weak global cues. It is likely to trade in the
range of 8550-8650. Sell Nifty in the range of 8615-8619 for targets of 8585-8565, stop loss: 8634
 Bank Nifty Future: The index has been trading in a narrow range of 350 points for a couple of days. The current
rotational sell-off in banking stocks is indicating the index is likely to retrace up to 18750 before further up-
move. Sell Bank Nifty in the range of 19080-19130, targets: 18950-18800, stop loss: 19220
