Intel provides processors covering the entire spectrum of workloads, from high end Dynamic modeling with Xeon Phi to the breadth of Enterprise Applications with Xeon and even new emerging Entry workloads like dedicated hosting, entry network and cold storage with Atom.
MICROSERVER - The simple definition we’ve used for a few years is “single socket, low power, shared infrastructure servers” – then we add “for lightweight workloads such as static web, entry dedicated hosting, simple cdn and caching”.

Overall Amazon Strategy Matches the Intel Virtuouse Cycle.
Collaborating with AWS for 10 years engineer to engineer - have a cloud platform which all of their B2B and B2C offerings are based – Dynamo DB, EMR, and consumer Amazon instant Video.
Edge devices such as Echo which sends data to the cloud and enables Amazon to offer incremental services and benefits to there end customers. And AWS IOT which enables through an SDK any edge device to seamlessly connect to AWS via MQTT for data ingestion.
AWS launched E7 in there X1 instance in June 2016.
This is for in memory applications like HANA and SPARK

Last but not least is the need to secure the environment. Whilst traditional endpoints are protected by default, it is important to recognise that IoT devices often operate in more open, hostile and unprotected environments, so the need for security is paramount. If a laptop gets infected it may ruin somebody days - if a critical device is hacked it may ruin much more. Similarly, its important to protect instances running in the cloud. Since there is minimal protection offered by AWS, systems running within AWS are increasingly targeted by hackers, and are vulnerable to all of the same type of attacks as traditional endpoints. The graphic above highlights that both IoT devices and Amazon instances can be protected by Intel Security, and significantly, maintained using a single management system.
