• Equipping youth workers with competences and methods

Paris Declaration • Paris Declaration – 17 March 2015 • Outcome of informal meeting of EU Education Ministers “ Declaration on Promoting citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination through education.” http://ec.europa.eu/education/news/2015/documents/citizenship- education-declaration_en.pdf • Priorities at the National, Regional, Local and European levels

Paris Declaration • Support at a European level - ET 2020 - The Erasmus+ Programme “..in particular through the support it provides for the mobility of learners and teachers, strategic partnerships and education institutions cooperation platforms, as well as for dialogue and joint projects on citizenship education, volunteering and youth exchanges.”
  • 5. Erasmus+ 2016 Call - New programme priorities on migrants, refugees and citizenship education Key Action 1 – Mobility for young people and youth workers • Reaching out to marginalised young people, promoting diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue, values of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights as well as projects enhancing media literacy, critical thinking and sense of initiative of young people • Equipping youth workers with competences and methods needed for transferring the common fundamental values of society

Erasmus+ 2016 Call - New programme priorities on migrants, refugees and citizenship education Key Action 1 – Schools and VET, Staff Mobility • Activities updated to reflect the opportunity for VET staff to gain competences in addressing the needs of learners from disadvantaged backgrounds – with particular attention to projects supporting migrants, refugees & asylum seekers

Erasmus+ 2016 Call Key Action 2 Strategic Partnerships • Cross cutting priority for activities ..”addressing diversity in (formal and non-formal) education and training, developing social, civic, intercultural competences and media literacy combatting discrimination and segregation, tacking bullying, reducing disparities in learning outcomes affecting learners with disadvantaged background though innovative, integrated approaches.” • Increased flexibility - Supporting exchange of good practices - Supporting innovation
