This document is a short book that encourages readers to make positive change in the world by starting with themselves. It recognizes problems in society and argues the main problem is complacency. It addresses common excuses for not taking action and encourages questioning established beliefs. The solution proposed is to identify the change you want to see, what you're willing to do to create that change, and then take action. It argues that anyone can make an impact and encourages sharing the message to influence collective consciousness towards positivity.

6. Introduction
This book is in response to the calamity that
took place at Sandy Hook Elementary.
This horrid event is what has driven me to speak
out and offer a solution to the problem at large.
It is not about gun control, the poor mental
illness treatment that is now available or
anything negative. It is about standing up and
making a change.
This book is about doing something to make a
positive impact in somebody’s life. This book is
about motivating YOU to make a difference.
What can you do? What will you do?
Here’s a hint: It’s normally not mainstream.
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for
tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop
questioning.” ~Albert Einstein
6
7. Recognizing the Problem
You’re not alone. You are 100% right that
we need change.
Many things are broken in today’s world.
People are senselessly getting hurt
and dying.
Personal, local, national and global
finances are questionable.
There is judgment left and right.
Corruption within government is
abundant.
Molestation lies, kept by people in
authoritative positions, are becoming
exposed.
The Internet has raised question of
man-made poisons in our food.
The medical industry is marred with
questionable prescriptions.
7
8. Schools are no longer safe for our
children or us.
We question and fear our neighbors
and society as a whole.
The problem is we count on other people
to make the change that we desire to see.
It’s as if we are waiting for somebody else
to say that it’s time. Who are we looking to
for that change? The very people,
organizations and entities that created the
issues we are facing today?
That’s crazy. They are the ones that
perpetuated our current situation!
Einstein said, “Insanity: doing the same
thing over and over again and expecting
different results.”
Isn’t that what we are doing in a sense? We
are expecting other people to make positive
8
9. changes while it is those very people that
got us where we are today?
It is time to take things into our own hands.
It is time we step up for what we believe in.
It is time we start taking responsibility for
our lives and all that our lives encompass.
9
10. So, our main problem? Complacency. We
are too comfortable with looking the other
way. We have snuggled up to letting other
people think for us and for them to tell us
what to do, what is right and what is wrong.
It’s time to end the brainwashing!
We believe there is only black and white.
We haven’t looked, or seen the multitude of
colors that are right there, in plain sight, if
we just chose to see them.
(And by colors – I am implying OPTIONS.)
Aren’t you ready to start living for yourself
and the betterment of your family?
First we need to get some common excuses
taken care of…
10
11. Excuses
We tend to fall onto common excuses.
I don’t have time.
(Yes you do.)
I don’t have enough money.
(You don’t need a lot of money, if any.)
I don’t know how.
(Then learn.)
People will laugh/judge/ridicule me.
(Who cares?)
I am above that.
(No you’re not.)
Any explanation of these excuses is a waste
of words.
If you want something badly enough, you:
Have time.
Have financial means.
Learn how to make it happen.
11
12. Don’t care what others say.
(The more you love your path, the less
you will care what other people say.)
Realize that you are capable and are
willing to do whatever it takes in order
to achieve the results you desire.
Have you had enough? Are you ready to
bust through any false barriers to make a
change in your life and to make a positive
change for mankind?
If you’ve read this far, you are ready.
Congratulations and Thank You.
12
13. Things are not as they appear.
You have been lied to. Those lies have
either been intentional or accidental; but
because of who started them, people have
perpetuated them – telling the lies to
whoever would listen – and even believing
those lies themselves.
Ellen DeGeneres, so eloquenty, summed up
a generality of this for all of us.
“I think we look at society and we look at
every advertisement that’s out there and
everything that tells us how we’re supposed
how to look, how we’re supposed to live
and how we’re supposed to be instead of
saying, “Is that how I really feel? Is that
really what I want to do? Is that really
how I want to live?” ~Ellen DeGeneres
Let’s expand this to specific topics:
13
14. Schooling Health
Religion Employment
People Life in general
In the above, and any other category that
you can think of, are you living your life, and
is your belief system your OWN?
Or are you behaving, believing and living
based on what other people told you was
true?
Really think about this one!
Here are some very basic questions to help
you.
1. Should people go to college? Why?
Where’s your proof?
2. Do you take your doctor’s word for
gold? Why? Could there be a better
way?
14
15. 3. Do you believe in the Bible? Why?
Have you fully researched other
religions?
4. Why do you have a job? Is it what you
love, or is it for the money? Have you
searched for employment over being
an entrepreneur?
5. Do you make general judgments
about other people? Why? Have you
taken the time to get to know them
and their story?
6. Food, government, CHANGE, the
future, happiness, right and wrong,
where you live, what you own… the
list is infinite. Why do you believe the
way you do about these things? Have
you ever questioned authority? Have
you ever questioned your beliefs?
This is the time to start.
15
17. The Solution
“Be the change that you wish to see in the
world.” ~Mahatma Gandhi
1. What CHANGE do you want to see?
It is imperative that you know what you
want. What do you want to see happen in
this world we call home?
Mother Teresa had said many times that
she would not participate in an Anti-War
parade; but if she were to be invited to a
Peace Rally – she would definitely go.
There is a stark difference in the two. One
is focused on the negative and the other is
focused on the positive. In the same
breath, one is focused on anger and the
other is focused on love.
When you decide what you want to “do”,
remember to keep it on the positive side.
17
18. 2. What are you willing to do to make
that CHANGE happen?
Really think about this. If you care enough
about this, limitations and time will know
no boundaries. Things that you believed
you were limited by will vanish. The things
that you once felt were important to do,
you will remove them from your life
because you realize they were wastes of
time.
While we’re on topic – You will step
out of your comfort zone while on
this journey of CHANGE. Know that
and accept that.
(Remember – forget what other
people say about you. You are on a
quest for good – they are still
complaining about the world.)
18
19. This is only important so you can set your
priorities. What will help you reach your
goal of CHANGE and what will keep you
from reaching it? Take out the things that
will prevent you from reaching your goal of
CHANGE.
3. Take Action and make that change
HAPPEN.
This is simply done:
Write down what you want to
accomplish.
Write down a date to accomplish by.
Start backwards (at the ultimate goal)
and work your way to what you can
do right now.
Start on your plan.
Seriously. It is that easy. You will learn
what you need to know along the way. You
will adjust along the way. Just start.
19
21. Little ol’ Me?
Do you wonder if you can really make a
CHANGE in this world? Do you question if
you have what it takes or if anybody will
even listen to you?
The answer to that is YES!
There are some people in this world that
have major influence. All they have to do is
say something and people are rushing to
buy the product, wear the clothes, or jump
on their thought bandwagon.
Guess what. They once were unknown.
They once had people laugh at them. They
once had doubts about their validity.
The key to their success is they persevered.
They kept going in the face of adversity
because they fully believed in whatever it
was that they were going after.
21
22. You start where you need to start.
If I were telling my children this for the first
time, this is what I would say…
There comes a time in life when you are so
moved by something that you simply
cannot ignore it and you are compelled to
take action in some form.
Be it a passion you have, something that
you have seen that excites you at your very
soul, or even an injustice that you have
witnessed and you simply know you cannot
stand by and let it continue to happen.
You will know when this happens. You
won’t be able to think of anything else. You
will feel the emotion so strongly that it
drives you to action.
22
23. There will be people who will try to get in
your way. Actually, there will probably be a
lot of people that try to stop you.
It is then that you know you are on the right
track. When people oppose you, shut you
out, or try to tear you down, it is at that
point that you know you are on to
something so big and so transformational
that you must continue no matter what.
There will be sacrifices you will need to
make. Some of them may be hard or even
painful; but when you get to the final
destination, when you finally accomplish
your goal, those sacrifices will not even be
on the radar any more.
You don’t need to impress anybody. The
only person you should worry about making
happy is you. When you stand up for what
is stirring in your Spirit, you can only go in
23
24. the right direction. If others oppose you,
they will come around – and if they don’t –
in the long run they will be in the minority.
Start. Start now. The world is waiting on
the people who have the courage to live
authentically and at a soul level.
Take your passion, whether it’s in the arts,
business, or anything else and make your
mark. Make your impact. Allow your voice
to be heard; and the only way your voice
will be heard is if you get out there and
start yelling from the rooftops who you are,
what you believe in and why other people
should care.
Make other people talk about you. Make
other people question their beliefs. Force
other people to hear what you’re saying.
24
25. Don’t think this has to be something that is
embarrassing or annoying. You are special.
You can do this in your own way.
People will hear you even if you whisper;
but whisper dramatically. Whisper with
purpose. Whisper from your Spirit.
What are you waiting for? Spread your
wings and expose your inner desires.
You are on the right track. I promise.
25
26. Spread the Word
Please share this book.
There is this phenomenon called “collective
consciousness”. It is what the majority of a
certain group of people believe and think
about.
It can be a group of people as large as a
country or the world, to a group as small as
a family, or even small meet-ups of people.
This collective consciousness is what forms
a nation’s thoughts and beliefs. When we
hear of bad things happening, we, as a
whole, emit our feelings and beliefs and
they all mesh together into this collective
consciousness.
This is why whatever we focus on…
EXPANDS. If we focus on negative, more
negative happens (as a whole). If we focus
on positive, more positives happen.
26
27. (For proof of this just look at the recent
recession.)
It is for this reason, the collective
consciousness, that we must share this
book with everybody we can. When we all
begin to live our life with a driven purpose
to create a positive change, our world will
begin to change. It will become ingrained
into the collective consciousness and that
will feed on its self – creating a massive
movement of positivity, hope, happiness
and CHANGE!
The more people that know about this – the
more people that decide that now is the
time to make a difference – the faster and
more radiant our lives and the lives of
others will improve.
