Knowing the end from the beginning and gathering tools,
techniques and strategies necessary to reach the end.

• It helps achieve commitment to the project/ work activity from all stakeholders.
• It helps in achieving your goals/ set targets.
• It aids in avoiding/ minimizing errors, reworks and preventing possible threats to
achieving objectives

• Do not plan on the day of the work
• Avoid fire brigade approach
• Some people do the work first, encounter issues and then start planning. Avoid this!
• Create enough time for planning

• Breakdown the work into smaller tasks
