2. Since 2008, Ethan Draddy has worked with the
Baltimore Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
As the council's chief executive officer and scout
executive, Mr. Draddy provides oversight of the
organization's development and growth. Currently, the
Baltimore Area Council maintains a membership of
nearly 36,000 youths who regularly participate in a wide
variety of council-sponsored events.
3. Several times each year, the council hosts the National
Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) program. Geared
toward youth of all ages, the six-day course
incorporates games, presentations, and other outdoor
adventures as tools to build confidence and character.
Moreover, the NYLT program focuses on developing
leadership skills that participants can take home to their
troops and incorporate into their daily lives. To meet this
goal, course instructors guide youths on a "Quest for the
Meaning of Leadership" and challenge them to consider
what makes a leader confident and effective.
4. In 2013, the Baltimore Area Council will hold several
NYLT events at Broad Creek Scout Reservation several
times a year. Participation is $200.
