2. Using the Library Search tab
When you want to search for books and other resources in one search, use the Search tab
1. Select the Search tab
2. Type in your keywords
3. Click Go
4. To only see Books, under the
heading Content Type, tick
Book/eBook
Tip:
Include as many keywords as
possible to narrow your search

3. Searching the Library catalogue by Title
Using the Catalogue tab, type in the title of the book. If any chapters have been
placed on E-Reserve, the link to the online chapter will be available.
1. Select the Catalogue tab
2. Type in the name of the book
3. Select Title from the drop-down
menu
4. Mildura and Shepparton campus
students: select your campus
from the All Collections dropdown menu to search for books
in your campus library catalogue
5. Click Go
6. At the results page, select the
required title
7. The books listed are all titled
‘Managerial Decision Making’.
Check the citation details for the
required title.

4. Searching the Library catalogue by Keyword
In this example we want to find a book chapter called ‘Anyone Can Succeed’, written by John
McGrath
To search for the title of a chapter and the author’s last name at the same time, use the
Keywords option
1. Select the Catalogue tab
2. Type in your keywords
3. Select Keywords from the drop-down
menu
4. Click Go
5. Click on Access full text to load the
chapter
6. Enter your University username and
password and click Submit
A PDF version of the chapter will load in
your internet browser. You can save or print
it from the options at the bottom right
corner of the PDF.

Location – is it at your campus
library?
Call number – this tells you where
the book sits on the shelf
Status – is a copy currently
available?
Write down the call number and location and visit your campus library
How to access an e-book:

When viewing a catalogue record for an ebook
Click on the link to the left under Online
access via
Enter your University username and
password and click Submit
The e-book record will load and you can
choose to Read Online in your browser, or
Download to read in Adobe Digital Editions
