This document provides an overview of the typical structure and components of an essay. It discusses that an essay generally has five parts: an introductory paragraph, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph. It describes the key elements of each part. The introductory paragraph contains an introductory statement, thesis statement, and supporting details. Each body paragraph elaborates on a main point that supports the thesis. 4. Parts of an Essay
Generally an Essay has Five
parts:
1:One introductory paragraph
2:Three body paragraphs with
support and development
3:One conclusion paragraph
5. Part 1: Introductory Paragraph
The introductory paragraph is usually the first and the most important
paragraph of an Essay. The first paragraph of the Essay in which the
writer gets the attention from the reader.
In the introductory paragraph it further divides into three different and
the main body of the paragraph.

Supporting details
Introductive Statement
Defines the general topic, topic sentence of the essay. In clearly written
sentences, the writer gives some background on the main topic; explain
the academic problem and tells the reader what to expect in the rest of
essay. The most important thing in introductory statement is that the
paragraph/sentence should be in present or past and not either change
in next sentence.
Thesis statement
Thesis Statement is the main body of the introductory paragraph.
Usually it is the last sentence of the paragraph.There are
the methods of writing the thesis statement. Like Brain storming, free
writing, Mind mapping and clustering etc. Always remember the most
important thing in thesis statement should be clear and in one statement
sentence that express the main idea of the essay Thesis statement is
the argumentative statement that communicates the author’s/witter’s

Supporting details usually attached with the thesis statement. In
which the thesis statement strong or more impressed.
Supporting details such as Essays reference from the different
authors who said about the topic of your essay. As the Supporting
details means to support of any type of material include in the
supporting details to make your essay more efficient.
7. Part2: Body of the essay
A body paragraph is a group of related sentences about a particular
topic or idea relating to the thesis statement of the introductory
paragraph. A writer can be written three or more paragraph in the body
of the essay. Because the essay is composed of multiple body
paragraphs, writing and organizing good paragraph is one of the most
important aspects of creating a well-organized and developed essay.
Each paragraph of the body of essay elaborates on one major point in
the development of the overall argument (although some points may
consist of a number of sub-points, each of which will need a paragraph).
The main point in each of the paragraph needs to be clearly stated in the
form of topic sentence, which is then supported with evidence.
8. The body of the essay includes the actual main ideas of the writer what he
want to say to the reader. But not like to include another topic of its own
choice which not is in thesis statement. All the preparations up to this
come to fruition. The topic you have chosen must now be explained,
described or argued. Each main idea you discuss in the body of the essay
will become its paragraph. If you have three or four main ideas/topic of
essay, then you will have three or four body paragraphs.
Body of the paragraphs it just like a hamburger’s middle kabab.
9. Body Paragraph
A body paragraph is a group of related sentences about a specific topic or
the idea is directly relating to the thesis. It is the core of the easy. It gives
the reader the bulk of information.
There are four types of body paragraphs.
Narrative
Expository
Descriptive
Persuasive
10. Part3: Conclusion
At the last, the writer have to summarized the essay in the form of
conclusion paragraph. In this paragraph Restate/repeat the thesis
statement of the introductory paragraph. Collect the main ideas of each
body paragraphs of essay and set as in conclusion of the essay.
Quotes can be include in this conclusion paragraph, but use them
extremely sparingly.
