  1. L’ architecture SAN fait partie d’un service qui peut héberger des machines virtuelles. Pour ce service, nous devons garantir une disponibilité très élévée. L’architecture a donc été conçue en conséquence. Elle supporte la perte simultanée de plusieurs de ces composants (serveurs, switches ip, switches fibre).
  2. Avant 2001, on utilisait principalement pour les serveurs NT des machines standalone. La première consolidation permet de regrouper dans des racks:Des serveursUn ensemble de disquesUne unité backupCe matériel étant devenu obsolète et de capacité insuffisante, en 2007, le SPF a fait l’acquisition d’un nouveau SAN de plus grandes capacité avec une virtualisation des serveursDans un premier temps, les données seront transférées vers le nouveau storage. Le projet initial prévoyait la virtualisation d’une dizaine de serveurs
