3. MY Ideal “Classroom”
-Digital Aristotle replaces
classroom making lectures
home based and discussion,
group work, “homework
review” all class based
-School Mainly For Social
Interaction, Emotional Support,
Development of Character, etc.
-What do YOU what to learn?
-Classroom---> “Room”
5. STEAM, NOT STEM
• Creative writing, arts instruction, and other “soft skills” are not always
as amenable to rule-based software or distance learning. A move from
STEM to STEAM (adding arts) is the right vision for boosting
innovation and the technology and educations systems in the US have
to be compatible with that vision.
• Softer skills like leadership, team building, and creativity will be
increasingly vital because these areas are the least likely to be
automated and most in demand in a dynamic, entrepreneurial
economy.
• College graduates who seek a traditional type of job where they are
told what to do each day in a very innovative lacking environment
will find themselves competing more and more with machines, which
can be programmed to excel at following detailed instructions with a
MUCH larger success rate.
7. BACKGROUND

PLEASE NOTE: A S*@& TON OF STUFF IS NOT COVERED IN THIS VERY TINY LITTLE PRESENTATION
(like rising college costs, government involvement, income inequality in relation to education, etc.)

TECHNOLOGY’S ROLE IN FIXING THAT
