An enterprise architecture (EA) is a conceptual blueprint that
defines the structure and operation of an organization
An architecture in which the whole enterprise (especially the
business processes, technologies, and information systems of
the enterprise) embodied in its components, their relationships
to each other, and to the environment, and the principles
guiding its design and evolution
The purpose of enterprise architecture is to determine how an
organization can most effectively achieve its current and
future objectives.

InformationOperation Capability Business System
Timely Decision: With a click of a button, the senior decision
maker should now the status of business
Evidence based Decisions: Organisations need to support the
decision making with evidence and data
Assisted Decision Making: When the relevant data is absent,
decisions should be supported by Artificial Intelligence,
Business Intelligence, Data Mining and Big Data Analysis
systems
Auditable Decision Making: The decisions and judgements must
be auditable
Investment Insight: Leadership would know where to better
invest their budget
All these benefit comes with Enterprise Architecture

WHERE do I start?
The NATO Architecture Framework (NAF) is a standard for developing Enterprise Architectures.
An Enterprise Architecture is a model of a current or future state of an enterprise.
An enterprise could be an organisation, a system (including the human factors) or a project.
The purpose of enterprise architecture is to capture the complex dependencies that exist in large-scale systems of
systems so as to aid with decision support.

The Open Group Architectural
Framework is a detailed
method and a set of supporting
tools - for developing an
enterprise
architecture.
TOGAF is developed and
maintained by members of The
Open Group, working within
the Architecture Forum (refer
to
www.opengroup.org/architectur
e). The original development of
TOGAF Version 1 in 1995 was
based on the Technical
Architecture Framework for
Information Management
(TAFIM), developed by the US
Department of Defense (DoD).
The DoD gave The Open Group
explicit permission and
encouragement to create
TOGAF by building on the
TAFIM, which itself was the
result of many years of
development effort and many
millions of dollars of US
Government investment.

d'information et de communication) is a
framework for modeling computer or
communication systems architecture.
It is promoted by the Délégation

French government agency which
conducts development and evaluation
programs for weapon systems for the
French military.
