For over 10 years I worked as a consultant delivering some of the most complex changes in industry. Cultural change in a global bank following the global financial crisis; setting up new operations in post war Iraq; developing a global operating model for a major oil company following an oil disaster. My travels have taken me from Australia to the UK, and delivering projects across Europe, the Middle East, Africa. My overwhelming sense was that change programmes don't work very well. They are always difficult, both for the project team and the 'stakeholders'​ (we call them people!) who are almost always frustrated by the process. In today's world we need to find ways to deliver change.
