1. Method:
As it is a listening skill for the middleschool children so, the students will be hearing a
passage and after listening to the passage they will be asked different question to answer
which will determine their listening skills.

2. “The first hamburger was made in Germany. It was named after the German town
Hamburg. In the 19th century a lot of immigrants went to the USA from Hamburg. It was
a long journey by ship. One day they made a sandwich with bread and meat. People
called it “Hamburg steak”.
In the USA these immigrants worked very hard. Sometimes they stopped for a quick
snack. They put meat between a roll of bread. This snack became very popular and
people called it “hamburger”. Then, in 1920s, new “hamburger” opened. The first was
the White Castle and then McDonald’s opened in 1940.
Soon everyone was eating hamburgers, not only in the United States, but in over 40
countries all over the world.Now there are cheeseburgers, bacon burgers, chicken
burgers, fish burgers, veggie burgers, and beef burgers.”

To enhance the reading skill of middle school students. Students will be given a text which they
will thoroughly and then a few questions will be asked from them.
2. Activity text:
Mastering spoken English is very important because we have entered globalization era where
many foreigners come to Indonesia for certain purposes such as business, politics, and so on
Because of this importance, the role of English Native Speaker teacher as a person who hoped to
help the students to learn English more naturally holds an important part in the successful of
teaching and learning process.

On the other hand, there are still some problems in teaching; one of the problems is in teaching
pronunciation of words. Therefore, the writer investigated the problems faced by the English NS
teacher and her students in speaking class and solutions of both of them. The research design of
this study was descriptive qualitative case study.
The writer concluded that there were still some problems faced by both the English NS teacher
and the non-native English learners in reading class. Although, they have done solutions
suggested in the theory. Therefore, we have to think well about the strengths and the weaknesses
in teaching speaking taught by English NS teacher.

 Writing skills are an important part of communication.
 Good writing skills allow you to communicate your message with clarity and ease.
 The communication takes place to a far larger audience than through face-to-face or
telephone conversations.
Audience and format:
 The first step to writing is choosing the appropriate format.
 The format, as well as the audience, defines the writing voice i.e., how formal or relaxed
the tone should be.

 With everything one writes, the readers/ recipients should be able to define the tone as
well as aspects of the content.
Composition and style:
 Start with your audience:
The reader should be introduced with the subject.
 Create an outline:
Outlines help in identifying which steps to take in which order.
 Use AIDA:
Follow the Attention-Interest-Desire-Action (AIDA) formula. These steps can help in the
writing process.
Structure:
 The document should be as reader friendly as possible.
 Use headings, subheadings, bullet points, and numbering whenever possible to break up
the text.
 Adding graphs and charts is also a smart way to break up your text.
 Using questions is a good idea, questions help keep the reader engaged and curious.
Grammatical errors:
 It's essential to learn grammar properly, and to avoid common mistakes that the spell
checker won't find.
 Using words like “affect” instead of “effect” or missing out the apostrophe should be
avoided.
 Everything that one writes should be of a quality that every reader will find acceptable. .
Conclusion:
 It's important to know how to communicate a point quickly and professionally.
 Many people spend a lot of time writing and reading, so the better you one is at this form
of communication, the more successful one is likely to be.
 Identify the audience before even starting to create the document.
 If one feels that there's too much information to include, an outline should be created to
outline the thoughts.
 Learning grammatical and stylistic techniques will also help in writing more clearly.
